He would bound to have been overtaken eventually since you know, at the end Heikki wasn't going to make any more progress. I mean if Kovalienen had held Hamilton up long enough then Piquet could very well have pulled a surprise win out of the bag.Oh and two more things:- Another AWEFUL strategy decision from Ferrari! why on earth did they bring both cars in together? Heidfeld showed the result of leaving one car out, it was a crazy choice making the ferrari's que up!
Something needs to change within that part of the Ferrari team because they a f*cking up majorly way to often!
- Also seems Heikki now knows how Alonso felt and is getting pissed at McLaren, he reportedly said this to Finnish TV after the race:
Feel sorry for Heikki!
-
There was some good overtaking, pity for Glock since he might have gotten a few points had he not had that suspension failure. So two races and two unlikely finishers on the podium. Things can only get better from here on in.

What part of a casual game can you not understand all you critics here? It's a game anyone can pick up and play, that is what it's about, stick to your Rock Band and Guitar hero games if you want depth.

A crash like that happens once in a lifetime or is that overstretching the epicness of the incident? Only like 5 cars made it out of that incident relatively unscathed.
So we have a few teams Driver line-ups in 2009 confirmed:

Watching Live Practice atm, think it must have been raining most of the morning as 1hr in there hasn't really been any times set.
Anyone know/remember the reason why they took the 'forest run' away from Hockenheim? It's SUCH a shame, I still really miss it!
So annoying just watching them drive past it!
I do have vague memories of the forest section of the track, wasn't there a huge pile up there involving most of the drivers once or am I thinking of something else?
EDIT: Oh, I'm thinking of Spa. My bad.

BTW as Coulthard wanted, Vettel will replace him at Red Bull.
-
Something I've just wondered about. Will Super Aguri return next season if they get a permanent sponsor for their team?
-
Yeah definately. They are the clear third force this season. Let's hope they can keep closing the gap. But remember it wasn't that long ago that Williams were winning races consistantly and look where they've gone.
Yeah, faded to the midfield battle.
-
Well Kimi pulled it off last season. But realistically it will be close.
-
Do you guys think Kubica has any chance this year of taking the title if he can keep consistent results? He has only failed to finish twice and has never finished a race outside the top 5.
-
That won't be for a year or 2 yet. Don't forget with the new changes to the rules that other teams can get race winners frequently too. The Mclaren Ferrari era seems to be coming to an end.
-
I suppose considering he is in a race winning car, Kovalienen hasn't been doing all that great this season. But he has chance enough to prove himself in the final half of the season. On the case of Vettel I hope he gets that red bull seat, I still don't think he's Mclaren material yet since despite qualifying performances he hasn't really gotten many points, of course you could object that the car he drives isn't one of the stronger models but if you can do well in qualifying it's perfectly possible to get good race finishes.
-
lol, Really? Think he could be the next Shumacher?
-
David has had his say on who should replace him at Red Bull.
Q: You will leave your Red Bull cockpit after the chequered flag in Brazil. Who do you hope will fill it?
DC: For me Sebastian Vettel has everything that a future winner in Formula One needs. Also his maturity and approach shows me that he is the best man for the job. So I am very confident that he would be able to do a very good job for Red Bull Racing.

I'm glad this happened to Ferrari to be perfectly honest, they really messed up their strategy and should be a wake up call to them.
-
Shame he missed out on second place but a points finish, especially a podium is something to be happy about, way to go Rubeans. Hamilton drove amazingly well, he really deserved the win and his critics are silenced yet again. But Ferrari were just awful, lucky to get 4th for Raikonen.
With a 3 way tie for the top with Kubica only 2 points behind makes for a great fight. But now is the turning point for the season, I wonder who will come out on top?
-
We again saw Hamilton blow it in the final qualifying session, he set a high expectation bar after the first season and it just isn't going for him.
-
I don't really care for the graphics, as long as the game itself is engaging and enjoyable I don't mind. Though I don't support the fact they seem to have invested little towards this sequel. Though the screenshot quality of the DotNW picture is pretty bad and doesn't really do it as much justice.
-
What a final qualifying session that was, the Mclaren of Kovalinen and the Red Bull of Mark Webber on the front row.
-
Who's seen the results of Practice? 2nd Practice was quite mixed up:

But as we know Practice and Qualifying tend to be quite different so this doesn't really give us much of a view on where they place on the grid.
-
With this retirement you can't help but think Rubeans will follow suit within the next few years.
-
mine arrived yesterday.
(run non-spoiler people, run!)
I suppose it's going to be hard following the story huh?

Nice, Spain proving the stronger side, Germany were doing Ok till then.

Well Heikki would have made a stronger challenge than Piquet or Massa did no doubt and I'm not saying Heikki isn't a good driver. But the pace Hamilton had all weekend was quicker than Heikki by a good chunk.
