The Wifi and Bluetooth card that came in my Pre-built PC wasn't the greatest, couldn't get stable audio through my wireless Headphones, even when sitting at my computer desk and the Wifi signal would drop sporadically. So I bought this new one and it works a treat, my Wifi signal has stayed at full bars since I installed it a few days ago and not only do I get stable audio through my wireless headphones it remains that way a fair distance away from my PC. A huge success.

I was gutted I couldn't get the time off work to watch this in the Cinema's and I'm surprised it took me this long to finally buy it.

  2. So I beat the final boss and saved the world from Mordegan.

    Spoiler

I was so happy to be given a chance to save Veronica, the whole going back in time bit was a quality scene, I almost didn't want to go back after the heartfelt feeling of my companions. But the whole bit of defeating Mordegan before he gets the Sword of Light changing the fate of that weird Dark Tockle getting to fuse(?) with the lanter he failed previosly at least makes this second go engaging. I see what people meant now when they said there was plenty left. I imagine I'll have to find a way to level the other party members again before taking on this new evil.

    This scene made me feel.
Image may contain: 2 people, people dancing, people on stage and people sitting, text that says "0282R Veronica I, don't know... (sob) just...welled up, all of sudden... I'm just. .glad to be here with all of you, suppose... Heh... (sniff)"

I reached that part earlier on today, such a sad scene.

I'm now at 38 hours played and have arrived at what I'd assume to be final area (were it not for everyone saying how long the game is :blank:), but Hero is only Lv. 42 and the very first encounter at that location saw my team getting absolutely obliterated! :o Just gave it a second attempt but was killed even quicker than the first! I've avoided it for most of the game, but definitely going to have to do some grinding now I reckon.

Anyone know the best location for metal slimes? :hehe:

I found a guide on Metal Slime farming if you would like, if not I'll spoiler tag it.

  4. Despite my progress, one of my Facebook friends has told me there is still quite a bit of the game left which upon surpassing the 50 hour mark still seems mad to me. The following spoiler should be avoided if you are before the second act, not sure how far into the second act I am so unless you are near the end of the second act I hazard a guess then don't click the spoiler.

    Spoiler

I have reunited with all the party members after the Worlds Fall...Well almost everyone. RIP Veronica, my favourite girl. TTATT

I will soldier on despite how much the reveal affected me, I owe it to myself to finish it at this point. I have found myself actually using the tactics menu with these later bosses in the story, since they have some annoying attacks that have caused me to get the odd Game Over.

  5. Maty Ryan has joined Arsenal on loan til the end of the season, I saw a whisper or two but nothing concrete so it's come as a bit of a surprise. Also in advanced talks for Real Wonderkid Martin Odegaard, to which if we can get this loan over the line would be a pretty good January transfer window, though if we got cover at Left back as well would be even better.

You've still got a long way to go.

I'm pretty much where Redshell is right now, I'm wondering if I will manage to beat the game whilst it's still on Game Pass at my current rate.

  7. I can barely believe Mesut Ozil could finally leave Arsenal before his mega wage contract has run out. I feel his continued presence has hampered us both financially and in the transfer market. It's in the club and the players best interest to part ways and it's felt way too long in coming. Granted the deal isn't signed and sealed for his move to Fenerbache yet but I hope the saga has finally reached it's conclusion and both club and player can move on to better things in the future.

I was going to play Slay the Spire, but I definitely don't want to be banned, so... :heh:

Anyway, cheers for the recommendations everyone, looks like Dragon Quest it is!

    :peace:

Brace yourself, I invested 40 hours so far and my Little brother who played it on Switch told me I'm only near the end of the first act.

Again, I think it's the cast of characters that makes the game so good, as does the story. Being forced to play as characters who are neither good nor evil and instead are happy to see the grey areas of life was such a refreshing change.

Zestiria has been on the shelf for a while now but the negativity around the game always makes me pass it by when I'm looking for a JRPG to play.

It is also recommended you played Zestiria first but there was an anime made for it and I would honestly do that before playing the game.

    Spoiler

I'm still salty my favourite character was only playable for the first 5 hours or so before she permanently leaves the party, her DLC story content might be the only reason I ever attempt to go back to it.

I adored Beseria. Easily my fav Tales game. The cast of characters are so interesting and not at all what you've come to expect from a JRPG crew.

I hadn't beaten the game on PS4 but even then I considered it my favourite Tales game and when I streamed it on PC, I managed to beat it and it just raised it even further. But at the same time, since the previous game (Tales of Zestiria) was such a massive disappointment maybe it influenced this opinion somewhat since it's set in the same world.

  11. I'm also one of those who picked the Switch Version up and soon put it back down, the controls for the DS were perfect for the type of game it was and it has translated poorly to the Switch version, definitely pick up a DS copy if you can. But it has severely damaged my hype for the new game unless they make some changes to better suit the Switch Hardware.

  12. There is definitely an audience on Playstation for Sackboy, he was the mascot for a brief period during the PS3 days. But like Ronnie says, the majority of his audience is likely on kid friendly Nintendo platforms. It would be an interesting experiment to see how this game would perform if it was on the Switch, small kiddies would see Sackboy on that box and fall in love with the cute plucky little stitched guy.

If I eventually get a PS5, this game would be one of the first I would get, especially because my younger brother loves Sackboy but never really goes with Sony (Still has his PS3 set up) and when we both lived at home he bought all the Little Big Planet games available for the PS3.

Depending on how long you are willing to wait it might even be worth putting some extra money aside and getting a PS5 controller. I hear it's starting to work well with the latest Steam beta builds.

For me already being a Sony adopter, I tend to find I get confused with most games only showing Xbox controls on PC, when I tried connecting my PS4 Controller I often found myself doing wrong inputs because of the layout.

The Xbox Series X controllers often go on sale for £45 if you can stretch your budget a little. The d-pad design has changed and I'm not really sure how good it is.

I could certainly stretch the budget that far or even to the normal price, the d-pad certainly has changed from pictures and it looks like it would be easier to do inputs on it. Will have to look into it since you can get a discount for a 3 month PC game pass on Amazon.

Thank you both for the swift responses.

  14. So the D-pad on my Xbox One PC controller isn't working properly, it doesn't always register my pressing up which really messes with me in rhythm games like Muse Dash. So I was looking into getting a new one for Christmas, but should I go with another one or should I try a 3rd party controller? I have a budget of about £42 so any suggestions would be appreciated.
