Has anyone bought Yen Plus magazine yet? It's the second English manga anthology I'm aware of after Jump, and it's pretty good. They're running stuff like Sumomo Momomomomomomomo and Soul Eater. It seems like it's gonna be a pretty good mag, and it's less than the price of two Simpsons Comics, for about 20 times as many pages :-p

Today's Haul: Hayate 8 Yen Plus Vol 1 Issue 1 (An English monthly manga anthology magazine! Like Shonen Jump, but with better manga! *subscribes*) Tsubasa by CLAMP 4 & 5 Son of Rambow Blu-Ray A-Train HX 360 (TRAINS!) DOA Xtreme 2 360 (TITS!) Yeah. Those 360 games were the kind I'd not normally buy, but my curiousity got peaked at those prices :-p

Anyone else been watching the new Birdy The Mighty series? I'm kinda liking it... it's like Tenchi Muyo meets Eureka Seven. Very cool body-stealing, gender-bending, alien-fighting anime with a pleasing lack of ecchi yet still having that sense of fun and lightheartedness that only a few anime series can manage.

I got the Yuki Nagato figma, now I have all 3 SOS girls =D Need Kyon and Itsuki now... I hope they make bunny-girl figmas of the girls. The witch-themed Yuki that's coming looks adorable <3

If the usual smoking laws applied to weed smokers, then sure, Legalise it. As long as I'm not around, they can do whatever the hell they want :-p But 24-hour drinking? Now THERE's something we can do without. And now they want to tackle the binge culture by stopping HAPPY HOUR!? How about the other 23!?

You'll love it. I've logged 85+ hours into the Japanese version already, it's absolutely fan-freaking-tastic. Far better than the original two. Plus, it has less of those irritating geo-panel puzzles that 2 was so fond of! As for me, this week I got a bunch of manga (Sgt frog 13-15, Yotsuba 5 (duplicate, oops) and Gacha Gacha Revolution 7 (also a duplicate, oops). If anyone wants to buy the duplicate mangas off me for £3.50 including postage a pop, just give us a PM :-p I also got a Mikuru figma to play with my Haruhi:

I'm 25, I remember Fun-Fax being huge when I was in my latter primary school years. I had a Dolphins one, sticker ones, all sorts. Good times, good times. Then I got Sonic and Knuckles, and forgot all about the Fun-fax.

Recent purchases. Some from the end of last month, but :-p Love the Nendoroid, but it just...won't... stand up. The head weights about ten times what the body weighs. (edit) Hehe, Warhammer 40k. We were at the Games Workshop games day when they first showed off the new edition and revealed the Dark Eldar. We were like totally "Wooaahhh!!" and we got a free plastic sample months before they came out. We pre-ordered the new 40K boxset and got a rare keychain too. I wonder what happened to that. Anyway, shortly after that we stopped buying Warhammer because it was getting too expensive for our teenage wallets to handle. My pink-and-yellow Mr Blobbymarines had to move on to a better place. That's right, I had a Mr Blobby chapter of the space marines. You got a problem with that? I used to enjoy creative painting of the models, and I used to love making scenery too. Pringles tubes make excellent towers, especially if you create staircases going around, and use that wire mesh stuff to make it look like metal gratings.... man, I miss making scenery. That was my favourite bit, actually. I still to this day look at every day objects and think of ways to make stuff. Tic-tac packs, filled with greenified PVA glue and a green LED underneath would make a fab "DNA testing lab" specimen, especially if you used some undead pieces to make a "body" inside! I might have to make some scenery and sell it on ebay or something :-p

Worst dub I've heard is probably a Saturday morning thing. One Piece or that spinning top series. I always liked the Tenchi Muyo/Universe dubs. I think every character was really well cast, and it makes me sad Ryoko's voice on the newer Ryo-oh-ki series wasn't the same actress. Ryoko's 90s English voice was perfect - dead on character and full of attitude without sounding like a spoiled american brat. Also, to pick out specifics, I think Jessie and James from Pokemon had wonderful voice acting until the re-cast. As they got to know the characters, they actually made them their own. Even Meowth, to an extent, grew as a character thanks to the quality of the voice work. Oh, and Ichigo Mashimaro has disappointing English dubbing. The 12 year old girls all sound more like 17/18 year olds. Not awful, just not exactly fitting. Did they dub the Disgaea anime yet? Did they use the voice actors from the game? I love Laharl's english voice, I think it's actually far better than the Japanese one!

I think that religions should be catered for in uniforms. However, anything that applies to one person should to another, so if your faith dictated that you MUST wear a certain item, then the school uniform would allow that item, regardless of religion. Although I also think guys should be allowed to wear skirts and makeup, so what do I know. Uniforms are meant to look neat, and give a professional look to the school. That doesn't mean they have to be uncomfortable, restrictive and ban accessories. If a kid wants to wear a bracelet, turban, leather spiked choker or strawberry lipgloss, let them. Honestly.

I'm actually selling a bunch of games right now, including a few listed here like Baten Kaitos, Viewtiful Joe, No More Heroes and Golden Sun Hit my sig if you're interested, I'm not setting prices so any fair offer is game :-p As for me, I wish I'd had chance to play stuff like Radiata Stories, Chrono Chross, Suikoden III... don't think I'll ever actually play Mario Kart Wii either. -
Toy Story was my first... when was that? 1995? If it was 95, I'd have been 12 years old when I first went. I reckon you can probably count the number of times I've been on your fingers and toes.

Episode 4 of Slayers Revvie! It was awesome. I'm REALLY loving this series. I'm guessing it'll be 26 eps in total, what with the episode titles going in english alphabetical order so far...
