Loved 4. Is this where I should go next? Can't get enought of Atlus these past 6 months. Can't stop playing their games.

Here are my two cents: Fifa (13 PS3) is good. It's more than just good, it's borderline great. It's a masterpiece of presentation, packed to the brim with features and lovely to look at. The gameplay is awesome, too! Nice learning curve and overall just quite satisfying. HOWEVER. PES (6 360) is absolute gameplay perfection. Everything is possible. The players feel responsive, nimble and intuitive (and personally, I love the twitchy nature of the game). Everything gels together incredibly well and the whole thing just feels cohesive. It may be somewhat unrealistic at times but it's pure, unadulterated fun. And playing FIFA is bound to feel clunky and slow after experiencing this magic. I too, thought the players in FIFA felt like tanks (exact word I used at the time, actually) at first because of it's more realistic approach and input delay. Sadly, PES'14 is a turd and I left my 360 back home when I moved to London, so no more PES for me... But Fifa is still one hell of a game, you just have to let it seduce you. EA and FIFA are sleazy and oily, but they've made a good product here. Holy shit! This sounds awesome! Which platform does N-E play in?

Surely you jest? The dpad's placement essentially rendered the 3DS useless as far as retro gaming goes. The virtual console stuff better get released on the WiiU as well 'cos I sure as hell ain't playing anything that needs a dpad on the 3DS. Link's Awakening was a painful enough experience and now that I've been spoiled by the Vita and the WiiU gamepad's wonderful dpads I just can't go back.

I can guarantee it wasn't there since the beginning as I clearly remember people raging about having to buy a different controller to make the game playable (yay hyperbole) and I fiddled with the options out of frustration and wanting to play with the gamepad and it wasn't an option. Glad they fixed it though, will have to try it out. Edit: yeah, just googled it, it was added in an update about a year ago.

Just saw (the first 30 mins of) the pilot.... dear god this is probably the worst adaptation of all time. Avoid it like the plague. Jesus Christ... =(

Wait, what? =O Where? Was the game updated at some point? I know for a fact it didn't have that feature when I played it as everyone on Gaf was raging about it. It's been a long while since I've played it (400 hours of MH3 on Wii meant I barely played MH3U).

How can you play MH3U on the gamepad?? Oo The button placement is horrendous! I can't deal with it, I have to use CCP or the Pro controller. Using L and R instead or zL and zR was the stupidest decision ever as was not giving you a choice. (Yeah, the L and R button placements suck ass).

Yeah. It doesn't help that I'm currently playing freedom unite with a dualshock 3... 3DS is going to feel awkward to play on the 3DS after CCP and DS3.

The Vita is quicly becoming my favorite handheld of all time. Shame about the lack of games, but goddamn do I love this machine!

You guys need to stop having these interesting discussions while I'm hopelessly addicted to Shin Megami Tensei. It might take a while, though... I can't stop playing these damn games. =(

The Heinlein, Clarke and Asimov namedrops by the guy were all I wanted to hear after watching that brilliant gameplay trailer. Settle in, boys, I think we're finally getting the sci-fi game that's been missing. Not that Mass Effect or Freelancer were bad games at all, but they were clearly wasted potential. Bring on the true sci-fi!

The one near where I live only has Infamous second son. That's it. That's their entire gaming section. 3 shelves full of Second Son.

Yeah, seems like a terrible decision. They should've gone with someone suave, like Jean Dujardin. Although obviously younger, since the story demands it. Maybe Jack Huston? Gaspard Ulliel would be perfect, but they'd never cast him since nobody has any clue who he is...

Vagabond and Vinland Saga are top tier stuff. If you enjoy those two you should really check out their other works, especially Planetes and REAL. Inoue and Yukimura are second only to Urasawa. And he's basically God, so he doesn't really count.

Hate to disagree... I think it looks absolutely terrible. A sensationalist interpretation of what could've been a fantastic adaptation. Still gonna give it a chance... love the comics, it'd be dumb to just assume it sucks based on one potentially misrepresentative trailer.

Never go over £20. Why bother, I can wait... Which is why MK8 will be my first day 1 purchase in a loooooooong time and ONLY because it comes with a second game for free! ^^

I love the WiiU just as it is. There were never any illusions in my mind about it being anything other than what Nintendo consoles have been for quite some time... the outsider. It doesn't deliver as often, but whenever there's a gem, it's ridiculously good. Anyone who bought it and expected it to seriously compete with PS/XB is delusional. I don't mind if it stays as it is for the rest of it's life. It's been out for less than 2 years and we already have Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, NSMBU/LU, Tropical Freeze, Zombi U and SM3DW under it's belt. Let's not forget MK8 will be out very soon. And if she's your only HD console, you still have a few amazing multiplats to help keep you busy, like NFS:MWU (best version of the game, by far), Rayman Legends (same as NFS, best version by far), Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC, Batman Arkham City or Assassin's Creed IV. And you can always go for a spin on the definitive versions of 2 incredible gems, Wind Waker HD and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. It's been out for 1 year and a half. Considering how almost every single console ever made sucks ass for the first year, that's a very respectable start. It's doomed to fail, but it's been doing it in style.

SNES/MD. No contest. GC/PS2 is second best. Then Wii/PS360. N64/PSX/Saturn kind of sucked but is always fondly remembered by those who grew up during it's hey-day. Ridiculously inferior to both the gen before it and the gen after it. People who didn't experience it first-hand at the time seem to be the only ones who can see it without nostalgia goggles. I see this in Gaf all the time. NES had it's gems, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of it. 4>6>7>5>3.
