    I officially hate Cheese Land! I've been trying for the last few hours to get *** on 200cc mode and I have only once come first on Cheese Land. Every other time I just get screwed by the bumps and items. I done the Bell Cup on my second attempt but this is driving me insane. I've lost count of how many laps I've now done on Baby Park.

    Love this game.

    Can i please have my points for the first 2 races in GP2, got disconnected on the 3rd race, connected for the last race and got 2pts, thanks guys, every point is precious when your last most of the time...lol

     

    Here are the scores after race three. At the end of race two you had 4 points.

    Down 7 places! Gah.

     

    Anyway, this is what I said about 200cc on my last post.

    I think we should do it again. I'm thinking we make it a special for theme nights, and then from next year, it's 200cc or nothing. I think by then we will all have gotten to grips with the speed, and playing on 150cc will seem slow in comparison.

    Some moments from 200cc races.

     

    Had this strange drifting moment where it just seems like the bike wants to go one way but corners the other.

     

    You get a lot of air on the final shortcut on Yoshi Valley.

     

    No Mushroom needed for this shortcut on Hyrule Circuit now.

    I'm beginning to get the hang of 200cc now. Found a good kart combination that I like. Whilst a lot of the time you can get by without breaking, I do find that simple quick touches of the brake as you enter sharp corners really do help out. Just need to line up the corner for the exit.

    Got gold on all 200cc and 3 starred a number of them too.

    There are so many great touches on the new courses that I keep noticing. And many of the old courses are opening up shortcuts that you couldn't take before. Cutting corners is easier too, with a jump you can cut a few corners that couldn't be done at lower speeds.

    I do hope we get to see more DLC for this game as these two have been top notch.

    not sure if it is 200cc exclusive, but in the league last night I heard someone say they just ended up flying off into the distance after hitting a turbo. I had a similar experience, I hit a turbo and then lost all control.. my kart just got carried forwards and upwards, as though it was on train tracks...I've played a lot of races though and only experienced this glitch once, so hopefully it is VERY rare.. but it is quite frustrating, being punished seemingly just for hitting a turbo and having to watch as your kart slowly but steadily heads off into the distance before lakitu decides to intervene. I dropped 7 places thanks to that glitch (although it's just as likely I would have lost those places regardless!)

     

    This was me. Was this on F-Zero track? I need to go back over the footage to see what actually happened.

    OK, it doesn't seem as bad watching it back. I hit a boost, the tried to jump into a drift but it was in the middle of the track which seems to be slightly higher then the edges, as such, it looks like I fly off the side.

    Have to say, I know next to nothing about this game, not a great fan of these types of FPS shooters, yet I've already pre-ordered this game. From the few videos I have seen, it just looks like it will be a lot of fun.

    As everyone has said, that was insane! Really makes you play differently, learn the tracks again. Corners which you could take with ease are now a complete different matter. Loved it. I was very pleased with my 2 4th places on the last 2 F-Zero tracks.

     

    I think we should do it again. I'm thinking we make it a special on certain nights, and then from next year, it's 200cc or nothing.

    Got my first wave 4 through today, Pac Man. I have Robin on the way from Nintendo Store, Wario and Charizard from Amazon on the way. And I should have Ness and Lucina from CoolShop coming too. First time I've (hopefully) got all of a wave on release.

    What amiibo aren't hard to get?

     

    Also when did Dedede get released and when is he likely to be re-stocked?

     

    Mario, Peach, Bowser, Link, Pikachu. They seem to be the ones I see in shops. You can find the majority of the others online.

     

    No idea on Dedede. I'm still waiting on hom, Meta Knight and Shulk.

    I think sticking to Thursday is a good call. We all seem to have this as the best time for us.

    This is going to be insane for anyone that wont get any practice in, we just need everyone to see that this is what we are doing and make sure we all have the update in time.

    Have to say I quite enjoyed it. My places reflected how much it depends on driver mistake. I got 100% win rate in GP 1. Then on the first corner of GP2 I put a wheel on the grass and it shows for the next two GP's.

    I don't mind at all if that is a once in a year league thing.

     

    Great hectic races when in the middle of the pack too.
