Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Watching the Zelda production in that factory is pure Zelda porn... Woah... I'm getting this weird feeling in my lower body... just like I used to when climbing robes in gym class... :p -

I would say so too, Mr_ Aonuma. 5x the size of OoT field isn't incredible big... It's gotta be way bigger, if you ask me! The Field of OoT was small... very small! With the speed of Epona in TP, OoT field would be so incredible fast to cross... Don't worry, it'll be big! They've said before that the idea of crossing the field on foot is not very realistic and would take too long! That's why you'll get Epona early on in the game... -

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Remember Kraser, the new trailer and these new pics are all from the final build of the Wii version, not the GC... But the E3 2005 trailer is from the GC version, and yes those graphics are amazing for the Gamecube! It's almost unbelivable that the GC can manage to do it so well! But we haven't seen any trailers or pics from the GC version for a long time now... I would really like to see some, just to compare with the Wii version ... But I don't think the differences will be that much... only the texture will be better for the Wii and it's in widescreen. If we are to believe what they've always been saying. -

Yes, he has stated that in a newly interview... And that GC picture is rather old. Thank you for bringing that up Twilight, you've given me some faith -

Ain't it unfair that those who just wanted it for the GC had to wait another year, so they could make it for the Wii? And then release the GC version a week, even a month after the Wii? -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not *surprised* at all about next gen's graphics, but I'm surprised that they've made the differences that big, when they've been stated for a long time that the GC and Wii version of TP would be the exact same, despite the controls, widescreen and some smaller graphical stuff. But they have actually (if it's going to be like that) changed the looks of Midna, not completely but stil,l a big deal. I don't think that's fair. Just because the Wii can go further with the graphics, it's not fair that Gamecube owners should be getting less experience with the game, when it's always been a GC title. The whole "new controls" stuff is really great, but they shouldn't go further than that... Yeah, I'm probably sounding like a biatch right now, I don't care... -

Omg... Won't the GC version be like in that trailer also??? I mean, I know there'll probably be a few differences, the picture will be more clearer and it'll be in widescreen, but still... Look how big the difference is! Midna looks so much different! Don't you think the new looks of Midna will be in the GC version too? Isn't the first pic here just an earlier stage of Midna for both consoles? If not, the differences between the Wii and GC version is too big! It ain't fair! I really don't hope that this is right... Wow! Really nice done, Redshell! It's nice! Though like the others said, maybe it shouldn't be that gold color maybe just its original colors ... and the logo should be slightly bigger. But I like that you get more than Link on the box. You have the actual "twilight princess" and the wolf in the bagground... neat -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
God I love this... Don't you just love this? Getting so hyped up about Zelda with these new videos, a whole new trailer and all these previews! God damn, this is exciting! Even despite those who haven't or won't see the trailers, they are just getting hyped from our reactions who have seen them! This is just neat. I actually never thought I would say this, but I'm actually gonna miss this moment. You know? We've all been waiting for so long. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess has been nothing but an totally exciting game in the future! The dream of having this game has been in our hearts for so long. We've all waited and shared our feelings about this game. Getting all excited when a new trailer or new screenshots have come out. It's been a game that we've only known as the game that simply will just be perfect for all Zelda fans. And now... Now we've almost there. Now the time of waiting, hyping and sharing thoughts and ideas for the game, is almost over... I mean, think about it. Soon we'll all be playing it at our homes, and then it'll all be over. After a few months or so, most of us will be finished with this game and then only have all this in our memories. Don't get me wrong! I'm SO MUCH looking forward to this incredible game! But... I've actually enjoyed waiting for it. Building up my own ideas how the game would be. And hearing all your oppinions about it... Knowing what the new gen can bring and how good games are at these times, we've all been making our own little Zelda TP and shared them in these forums... It's been fun, that's what I'm saying. I probably won't spend so much time in this specticular thread after getting TP ... And that I'll miss... Hearing so many stories with all different kinds of ideas for TP... It's always been something we've waited for, and now... we ain't gonna wait so much more. It's kind of sad, don't you think? -

Couldn't agree more Who the hell is worried about it not being a good game with those graphics!?! C'mon! You don't DESERVE to play Zelda then... Still no release on that new trailer, huh? I've been checking this thread for the last couple of hours, and still nothing... hehe Maybe it'll be released this evening, if not tomorrow... Btw, can someone please answer my earlier post?? Would really appreciate it!! -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)

Yes it is. And everyone has said that it isn't a big deal of lag and that it isn't too bad. It just so that the Wii can recognise the movements of the Wiimote, nothing more. -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Garrrrrh! I more and more want it for the Wii, but there is still something in me that still wants the old controls for the game... Grrrrrr, I hate this situation! Can't we get some footage with the GC version too? oh brother... This is freaking me out First of all, in the Wii version. Is Link always blocking with his shield when in combat? In te GC version you have to hold the R-shoulder button like it's always been, but what about with the Wii. If so, doesn't this suck? I mean, with Link automatically blocking all the time in combat? Won't it make Link too invincible, and make it a bit too easy sometimes? I've always loved how you have to combine blocking with attacking! Have they really taking this away? And then the camera controls. In the GC version (just like you did in TWW) you used the C-stick to control the camera, making the camera free (unlike in OoT and MM) and you being able to completely control the camera and put it where you want it... But what about the camera controls in the Wii version. How do you control it with the Wiimote and the Nunchuck? I've been thinking about this for a while, and watched the last gameplay footage of Wii TP over and over again (footage also from the E3 2k6), and from what I can see no one is able to control the cameras like you could in TWW and the GC version of TP. Won't that suck? I mean, I really loved moving the camera so freely in TWW... Am I just missing a thing here, or what? Does someone have an answer to these things? -

Ooooooooh... It's going to be so damned nice!!! Just imagine saying "What I'm playing at the moment? Well Twilight Princess of course! Duhh!" This final month is going to be one looooooong month! That review Matt is going to make at the end of this week will be nice though. Think it will ease the pain a little bit... -

I withdraw my judgements then. You're right. I too truly wants this game to achieve the best of the best! And I doubt it won't! -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Why not? Everyone hated the controls at the E3 2006 demo, and at first the controls were going to be that way. They believed in that. I'm not saying that they aren't going to be good or okay, but we can't know for sure if they'll be great. -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
So why not just press a button instead of doing small flicks all the time? In theory, it's the same thing. Press the same button or doing the same flick. I'm just saying that most people are very hyped up about the Wii controls are going to be very realistic and cool, but that they might get dissapointed, that's all! But I don't wanna discuss this anylonger, this sucks. People who want a Wii should definitely aslo buy TP for the Wii, and those who wanna stick to the old fashion way should have it for the Cube. Or maybe both, for those who are hardcore :awesome: -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Still, I think you'll get tired from seeing Link do vertical swings, horizon and staps just by doing a little flick with your mote... no matter how you flick it, it doesn't matter anything to what Link will do just that he'll swing his sword in some way. I think in someways you'll get dissapointed after hearing that the wiimote will make it so much more awesome and realistic... of course the fishing part is something for it self. That, I'm really gonna miss for the Cube version Many prefer it in the old school way, with the controller, like myself! It's how every Zelda game has been played... -

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Not when you're *not targeting something, but just aiming your bow. If you go too fast, let's say, to the right where a huge monster is coming for you, you might move the wiimote too far and a text will suddenly pop up and say "Please aim the Wiimote at the screen", that can be a problem sometimes, instead of Link just aiming more to the right... :horse: But hey, that's what they said! -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Knives replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Hmm... I read a Danish review (that's where I'm from of course) about the last TP demo with the newest Wii controls... (really old info, I know!) they actually didn't like it too much... They said the sword fighting was kinda boring when it didn't matter how you swing the wiimote. And that the aiming with the bow, boomerang and clawshot was problematic, when enemies and stuff were at the edge of the screen, sometimes making the aiming thing dissapear when you went too far away. It was problematic in places where you had to react fast. Of course, I've always been a bit unsatisfied with the whole idea with TP for the Wii and the new controls, but still... it's still a bit tempting to buy it... Garrrr! :horse: Damnit! ... I wish we could see just one more video of TP for Gamecube! Just 20 seconds gameplay or something... it's been a while since they've shown anything about the Gamecube version. It's not fair, now that Wii is stealing the spotlight! I'm gonna buy TP for Gamecube, and make it go out with a blast! Unless! I get to try the Wii in some store when it's released, and think that TP is absolutely best for the Wii. But I doubt it... I think you have to experience the controls for yourself though, if you really wanna know... But it's tempting... with the Wii having a tiny bit better graphics and that widescreen crap feature... It just seems at the moment that Nintendo only have been working on the Wii version, so I REALLY don't hope that they've forgotten about the Cube version too much...
