Ok, so, my sister's boyfriend phoned me to say that as Trojan has infected his PC, and now wont let him use the internet. It fails to log on. He's arunning a windows 98, and from talking to him, i feel the virus has removed some key .dll's (i think) that enable internet connectivity. You guys got any solutions? Im going round tomorrow to transfer the dll's that (ithink) are missing, but anymore solutions would be grand.

Ok, well, i thin the virus deleted the wininet.dll, and when googling this i found: "The Windows Internet (WinINet) application programming interface (API) enables applications to interact with Gopher, FTP, and HTTP protocols to access Internet resources. As standards evolve, these functions handle the changes in underlying protocols, enabling them to maintain consistent behavior." So, i copied my version of the .dll to a disk, and gave him some anti-virus programs and sent him on his way. Thanks for the help guys.

There is a lot of good British humour, the likes of which have been mentioned. I often find that British humour is 'clever-er' than the Yank counterpart. Saying that, there is a lot of funny stuff coming out of America at the moment, so we'll see. If anyone can, check out Jeff Foxworthy. He's a redneck from the US, and he's -very- funny.

I was browsing around on another forum and came across this site. Its pretty interesting to read. It has videos and testimonies of people who basically say that the Twin Towers didn't collaspe through the aircarft - they were brought down by a different explosion... Now, i know its sound a bit wacko-conspiracy theorist, but some of the articles do provide to be compelling reading. And has certainly made me wonder. While Im on the topic, there is this site and this animation. All seem pretty convincing. So what do you guys think? Conspiracy wackos, or was 9/11 something fabricated and carried out by the US in order to jusify a war? Opinions please.

Not really. I was for the war but now i belive it was a whole waste of time. As for the towers i have mixed feelings. I sympathise with the families to those who were lost, yet find it ironic that companies based in those towers helped cause yet more poverty in the third world. (World Bank, IMF etc) Im still open minded about the towers, but the Pentagon one is just too patchy to believe that terrorists crashed into it.

Ok, perhaps the improvements wer a stark contrast to the Thatcherite movement which totally fucked this country sideways. - he has made a shitload of improvements though. However, whether he was pushed to go to war or actually belived the evidence - the jury is still out. I dont think that we should judge a person becuase of one mistake. I would like to see Brown as PM, i would also liek to see a more left wing labour. A proper governemt for the peopleand not for money.

JACKPOT!! Yes, i find with the majority of people they hate Bush becuase either Greendday say so, or, its "cool" too. Perhaps if they reseacrhed it a little, and found out he tax-cut the rich at the expense of teh poor and has corrupt business practises etc etc then they could hate him for that. I also hate it when people go on about Blair. Right, he went to war - whcih i now feel was a mistake. But people only remember that mistake. They forget the massive boost of public spending his government has pledged in the NHS, education, police etc etc. And yes, Booker is right, There is no way on hell that GWB is worse than Hitler, worse than Pol Pot, Adi Amin, Saddam Hussain and the rest.
