  1. Do you know what you're doing?

Living life one day at a time. Decent enough career and that's about it, I just wing it day to day.
  2. Nioh [PS4]

Less than a week to release! Jim Sterling gave it a 10/10. I'd like to get it but I think I'm going to hold off for a bit of time.
  3. Jury Service

I got a letter for it once, but never even had to appear for a selection. Which is good, I'd hate doing it and would stand to lose quite a bit of money missing work.
  4. Forum apps.

Eh. I'm down with just sticking with phone browser. Oh well.
  5. Dragon Quest VIII - 3DS

Thanks! The lower details don't bother me, but I'm relatively turned off by the shift in colour warmth.
  6. Dragon Quest VIII - 3DS

I just want the cliff notes on how this port is compared to the original. I'm sure there are sacrifices but I'm curious where.
  7. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

Having played it on multiple platforms (not 3DS but Vita/PS4 and PC) the PC release is by far much more polished and far easier to spend an exorbitant amount of time on. I have 85 hours on the original (not Rebirth) and not a single run was the same as any before it. Now Spelunky, I can't see why people play that at all. I can't get behind a rogue like where the controls feel actively against me. So yeah I'm down with Afterbirth whenever I get a Switch.
  8. Nicknames

My parents call be Bubba occasionally. Very few people me Matthew. Most just call me Nolan, which while it's my surname I kinda prefer over my first name of Matt. Some close friends refer to me directly as Matt Nolan, even over the phone when they've called me they use my full name.
  9. Washer-dryer: Yay or Nay?

Like I tell Foreman at work, I'll decide. Man...if I wasn't actually a good worker I'd be a terrible employee. I have no idea what the typical English house is. I'd probably be likely to load it with dishes if it's in the kitchen. O.o
  10. Washer-dryer: Yay or Nay?

What sort of room do you have? If you can fit a single unit; is it possible to fit one of the top stacked machines. Washer on bottom, dryer on top?
  11. Scalebound - Platinum Games (XboxOne)

    Man....fuck Microsoft.
  12. N-Europe turns niN-Eteen!

Man. Thinking back I've been here for more than half its life now. And I actually didn't join until a few years after discovering the site (while scrounging about for Revolution news.) 16 when I joined so maybe 14 when I found it? Practically a baby still. And I know that a lot of my use on the site was during 56K days. Ahhh the joys of opening 10 threads at a time and walking away while they loaded. I've come and gone quite a bit the past few years. Lower activity across the boards, combined with my own full time career posting would just fade from the forefront of my mind. I'm glad for the years I've had here and hope they continue even if I don't have the time like I use to.
  13. N-Europe turns niN-Eteen!

By golly, the forums can smoke and drink.
  14. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Glad you're happy with the purchase. You took long enough to take the plunge
  15. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Apparently from what I've read standby mode downloads much faster.
  16. Final Fantasy XV

Well shit. I didn't know Audi was selling designs to Mercedes now. :p http://kotaku.com/a-final-fantasy-xv-audi-for-470-000-1788848253/
  17. I got a shotgun. Murrica! Also a brown paper bag with "Do not eat!" Written on it. So obviously.... It was actually a couple of very nice smelling candles. Also a couple sarcastic shirts, pair of Star Wars socks and a Marty Moose shot glass. Got my sisters kids a handful of stuff. Generic Lego set, two copies of Animal Crossing, a 1300 piece Lego Millennium Falcon set.
  18. Final Fantasy XV

    You got your what back?
  19. Bioshock: The Collection (PS4/One/PC)

I throughly enjoyed the game and have read some of the various nitpicking and complaints about it. (Including the guy who refused to play because of the baptism scene in the beginning). To me none of it really impacts my enjoyment. So what if there are plot holes. Given the dimension hopping shit, I can suspend a bit of disbelief.
  20. Final Fantasy XV

  21. Netflix

The OA was interesting at best. It was a way for me to spend my lazy Sunday essentially. Overall I'd say I enjoyed it, though I found the start to be painful to stick with. OAs character was just poor to me. It all slightly improved and they attempted to add development to others but I have a feeling their budget was pulled out from them. The weird lengths of the episodes is what makes me think that. I think the show was strongest though during the storytelling. They had a much tighter environment to work within. The ending had ups and downs but I think was sufficient. The specific point where it all goes pop felt just fine to me. Yeah there is nothing that hints to it and it comes from left field, but sadly that sort of real situation does come as a surprise to most. I do agree there was little in the way of answers though. Purely set up for more seasons, and likely was always planned that way.
  22. Titanfall 2 (PS4/PC/XBO)

I've got to like 37. Just that last stretch I either flub the jumping or completely miss the targets. Usually both.
  23. Titanfall 2 (PS4/PC/XBO)

I'd like to join but I'm 6 hours behind forum time so when I get off work and home it's midnight already essentially. And then showering and dinner, weekdays just aren't for me.
  24. Bioshock: The Collection (PS4/One/PC)

Number 1 (Oddly I played twice last gen) never fully clicked as it felt like a rehash of System Shock 2 right down to the twist. But I was also a decade younger so certainly more a dumb teen. Hence why I didn't play 2. I felt a direct sequel was pointless. Still do. Infinite though I found to be brilliant. There is a bit of a dissonance between gameplay and story, but that didn't bother me like others. I knew I was buying a FPS where I kill people. I think you'll quite enjoy it FLink. Or at least hope you will. Maybe take a short break between though because it is most definitely more bioshock and no need to burn out on the series?
