  1. Stardew Valley

Fuck. Fishing. Their fishing minigame is up there with Nier in terms of being a pain in the ass. Alternatively enjoying the rest of the game just fine other than the abysmal walking speed. Haven't been gripped into losing hours and hours playing though.
  2. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Well, maybe somebody needs to gitgud.
  3. It looks to be maybe a tiny bit larger than a PSVita cart.
  4. Horizon: Zero Dawn

Jim Sterling also loved it. Not much original but everything done really well. He also said the first thing anyone should do is make the HUD settings dynamic.
  5. It's already been sorted, but to translate anyways. Those GPUs are from around 2008. The CPU also likely the same time frame though Core 2 Duo is a bit more ambiguous. Plus it also listed Vista as an acceptable OS, soooo.
  6. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Coincidentally basically my uncles hero. He has a tapestry of the shirtless Morrison picture hanging in his house.
  7. If you enjoy it great, but if the switch was similar I know not everyone would be delighted. Specifically myself. Out of curiosity though have you used a PS4 at length?
  8. I'd call it an exaggeration, and suggest that anyone who disliking aspects of it give the Xbox One UI a spin. Even on the S it's sluggish and prone to freezing/stuttering and menus are even more convoluted to me. As long as the UI is functional I can't say I care much. But for me functionality includes running smoothly.
  9. Doom (May 13th)

Platinum get. Took forever until I won a multiplayer match. And I don't care for their team making, put all the high levels on one team, not cool doom.
  10. Doom (May 13th)

Seems like Doom has been criminally ignored round these parts. I'm on my way to Platinum though. Just need to do some multiplayer and snapmap. I nearly did A Toe Into Madness legit on my first try. I was about halfway through and was cheaply killed. After that I couldn't even do the first battle so I gave up for a week. Today though was having some issues in the first battle and then I just magically breezed through it and only got hit once and didn't lose health even. Annnnd then I followed a video guide and waltzed through the map as if noclip was on. I don't even care. Game was an absolute blast though and a damn fine restart to the series. Hopefully we'll get a Doom 2 in a few years
  11. Persona 5

I completely missed this being delayed until about a week ago Amazon sent me an email letting me know it was delayed....that sucks. I'm laid off another 2 weeks and was looking forward to it
  12. New TV

@Fierce_LiNk I just remembered, since you now have an HDR tv if you don't already own it you ought to check out Ratchet and Clank. And on PS4pro it does have higher resolution as well. But the HDR effects are really quite nice in a game that was already very colorful.
  13. good stuff thread.

They basically are Kabuto. Prehistoric and unchanged. Fun fact, blue blood and it's collected for use in hospitals. bit of video my mom took (hence vertical filming) they're less creepy when they aren't upside down.
  14. good stuff thread.

The most they can do is give ya a little poke if you step on one in the sand. They like to bury themselves.
  15. good stuff thread.

Got laid off two fridays ago. So this past Wednesday my mom and I (she had some time off) drove the 1100 miles from Michigan to Florida, (Orlando; near Disney World). It was more or less nice. My uncle (moms brother) lives there and I haven't seen him in a few years. Plus I picked up a Dune Buggy with some NASCAR history from him. He ain't got nothing much but he'd give me the shirt off his back if I asked. I'd never ask but it's why I love him (even if it can be frustrating some times.) Swam in the Atlantic for the first time in about two decades while I was there. It was damn nice. 20C out, which was way too cold for any Florida natives to be in the water. Found two horseshoe crabs too! I think I interrupted the sex though because the little guy was firmly attached to the biggun. We left for home Sunday morning and got back Monday morning and 2and a half hours of sleep has gotten me to 12 hours later of being home and now drinking. So yay for loopy logic. I'll probably add some pictures of the Buggy and crabs later. Now off to the bad stuff thread maybe because reasons. One being innever visit the threads unless I have something to say so I feel really self centered when I do, like I expect others to read and care when I don't invest that time myself to their jubilations and plights. Bleh. Buggy Crabs! Bonus WWII Flare Gun.
  16. Destiny

Not that I was quite part of the group for various reasons, but I concur that the grind of destiny was a perfect backdrop to just chatting with people. Never got into as much as everyone else and did a lot of the grind solo (I remember surprising the hell out of a random guy that I was LL29or30 without raiding or strikes and little MP). But once I started playing in groups it just became much more fun and easy to be a regularly scheduled thing. Sort of like back in the days of doing Gears of War 2 Horde mode and HaloODST Firefight. Never got into any other firefight sadly though. I also missed out on the entire PoE experience as well until just before RoI but found it quite fun.
  17. 30-Year-Old Londoner For Sale

Posting a picture ruins the joke of asking if that was innuendo...
  18. 30-Year-Old Londoner For Sale

Jesus Flink, how many people are you in possession of and what's with the fire sale?! Happy birthday Ashley!
  19. New TV

That's my 65" from the far end of my couch. Also note the original 150 Pokemon comforter I use:hehe:. I'm probably sitting 3-4 meters back or so. I'd call 2.5/3 about the minimum. At that point it just fills your view and cuts out the rest.
  20. For sale: 32-year-old Belgian Artist

Day late and a dollar short, but happy birthday! And I thought the U.K./EU had rules about selling people as property.... I mean even the US does.
  21. New TV

Nice! I don't think it'll be that much overpowering. It's 9 more inches than your 40 which from the pictures seems a good size.
  22. Do you know what you're doing?

Nope mine are far more based in reality of dying alone, unlikely to get a house, worries of plenty of what if scenarios, etc. We all have our crisis of sorts, but doesn't necessarily mean we don't know what we're currently doing in life.
  23. New TV

I've got a 930D, I don't recall Dafts model. The 800D is the same product line just lower model I believe, different features. Slight thing is Sony changes the product number between US and EU so I'm not sure the exact model for you guys. If I recall rightly, one thing I did like was that the Sony had more inputs including analogue inputs incase of older devices needing to be hooked up. That was a slight factor for me.
  24. Destiny

Did VoG last night with a couple guys that were blind. And bad listeners. Atheon took way to long because the damage phase they refused to go to the center. And then I got no drops.... I think we're doing Crota tonight ha.
  25. New TV

Samsung has some well reviewed quality TVs as eddage said. Alternatively I am quite happy with the 4K HDR Sony that I purchased last fall, and to my knowledge @Daft is happy with the Sony they bought. Honestly the best advice I can say is do some online research and narrow it down some, then go to a big box store that has those models and check them out in person. Play with the menus and all that jazz, check out viewing angles and color. Being that everything is a smart TV these days the OS is somewhat important. Like the Sonys are android TVs and log into your google account.
