I can't decide which model to get, 49" or 55". That £170 I'd save going for the 49" would go towards a PS4 Pro but 55" is HUGE! Let me know what you think of it. I'll have to quit the forums if you hate it.

I have zero interest in the Switch, am I alone in just not caring for it? Nothing they have shown so far has got me excited. Zelda looks good but its a Wii U port and I can buy it for the Wii U. Splatoon 2 doesn't look any different than Splatoon which I had no interest in. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has battle mode and nothing else new.... No thanks. Starting to wonder If I'll even bother buying one at all. Nintendo just don't do it for me anymore. The Wii U and its lack of games that interested me forced me to buy a PS4 and I'm glad that it did. One console is played daily while the other gathers dust and hasn't had a game bought for it in over 2 years. So it'll be no Switch purchase for me but a PS4 Pro instead once I stop messing about and get a 4K TV bought.

I've been looking for a new 4K TV for the last few weeks. I think they will and they've already confirmed that the chat feature won't be compatible with every game so don't be expecting a party chat experience with this service.. Would not surprise me if voice chat is restricted to just the pre-game lobby like the Wii U version. For those buying this, are you just buying it for the battle mode? I mean, like me, you must have done everything in single player and online that you wanted to do. Battle mode aint that great to justify spending £40 on this. Is it due to the lack of Switch games in the launch window that you are buying this?

I enjoyed the presentation and I can afford it but the poor launch lineup as well the incredibly poor online chat via smartphone app which won't be compatible with my phone means I'm out until maybe Mario but I doubt I'll be getting the online subscription so no online gaming for me on the Switch.

I woke up without an alarm at 3.50 so I had to watch it, my body was clearly ready. The plan was to get up at 5 but the hype got to me clearly. I thought the conference was pretty good, very professional from Nintendo. The only dodgy point was the Suda51 guy. Regarding the pricing, way too high if they want the casuals back. Mario & Zelda trailers were fantastic. That Zelda trailer. I wasn't a fan of 1 2 Switch or Arms. Splatoon has never interested me but I guess it looked okay, not much of a visual improvement though. Am I wrong in saying that? The online subscription and voice chat... voice chat and messaging via your phone... Why do Nintendo have to do things differently every god damn time. Its stupid plus I have a Windows Phone, so I'd have to buy a new phone just to use the bloody service I'd be paying for. No chance! Did they forget about this feature and add the smart phone app at the last minute? It looks that way! Regarding the launch lineup, wow, its so poor. Some have defended it saying it similar to other launch lineups but I don't remember having the option to play Rogue Squadron II or Super Mario 64 on a console I already own. It needs an proper AAA exclusive title. The only reason to buy it at launch is Zelda and you can buy it on the same day for a console you already own. So you have two choices Play Zelda on Switch £280 + £60 = £340 Play Zelda on Wii U £40 Hmmm... I wonder which one the majority of people will choose.

You say that but I can't remember the last time it went down for me and I'm on my PS4 a lot. The DDoS attacks on both PSN and Xbox Live are down to them being popular services used by tens of millions of users daily. Has the Nintendo Network ever been targeted?

Incredibly poor year for me on the 2 Nintendo Platforms. Thank god I have a PS4. Monster Hunter Generations and using the Wii U (Super Mario World) and 3DS (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island) to help play and complete all the retro Mario games from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario 64 during March stopped the numbers being even lower. Fifa still keeping me occupied until the avalanche of games at Christmas! Did you even play Battlefield 1? Does Josh know you traded it in? From the games shown, I'll definitely buy the following at some point after release. I rarely buy games on release, usually holding off a few weeks for the price to drop. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy The Last of Us Part 2 Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Horizon: Zero Dawn Resident Evil 7 Knack 2 Wipeout Omega Collection This years showing was fantastic, it felt like E3 and it was up there with the games they revealed. When The Last of Us Part 2 was revealed, me and Hero were in party chat watching it and were like nah, it can't be. Love this crowd reaction.

Original Xbox was a beast of a console. Built up a small collection of games for it last few years for very little money. The S controller is up there with the gamecube controller for that gen, been trying to get a few more controllers off eBay but the prices have skyrocketed. They go for between £10-15 recently. It also has a fantastic MAME emulator which is incredibly easy to get running on it.

Right then, my first post regarding the Nintendo Switch. I thought the 3 minute introduction video was really well put together and explained the gimmick of the console very well. Its clear already they know how to market this thing. Regarding the name, didn't like it at first but its growing on me. It doesn't have DS or Wii in the name so I'm happy with it. Design wise, they have nailed it. It looks current, comfortable to hold and not cheap. I'm really impressed with how it looks. Also, the Switch Pro Controller looks a great controller. I was a big fan of the Wii Classic Controller Pro & Wii U Pro Controller so that'll be my controller for Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter... finally I can sit back and play it on the big screen again! Regarding the games shown, I'm not sure showing so many Wii U ports (Mario Kart 8, Splatoon & I guess you can count Zelda) was the best move. I guess with the Wii U selling so poorly not many people got to experience these games but still. How many Wii U ports do you think they have planned in the first year? I'll pick one up but I doubt it'll be at launch as I'll get Zelda on the Wii U and ports of Mario Kart 8 & Splatoon do nothing for me. I doubt they'll have Mario ready for launch. Impressed so far but they have show more before Christmas as there will be a lot of people on the fence deciding whether to save their money to get this in March or spend it elsewhere.
