Whoa at bob vs DuD lol I chose to watch all the cup games via the game view thing and I had to speed that one up because it was like watching an actual game the time it was taking haha. That is a compliment btw! Mental game, I can't believe you didn't take that bob at one point you had like 6 chances in a row when you were 3-5 down I think. Anyway great gamae (Standing ovation) Also lol at Feders mental formation paying off and Inters even more mental formation winning for a while. Had my own exciting game, well done Twozzok. No idea tbh, I have noticed one or two new things since I got a VIP again maybe for some minor things they don't put it in the news section. I would quite like it if we got a new big update before the new season like a new trait or a new feature when watching games.

At last got a new midfielder! Sadly he isnt that compatible but still I feel my team is a lot more ready for the middle league after my two purchases than it was before. That is me done for the transfer market I am now going to see what happens in the cup and prepare for the first day of the middle league. You can sub goalies now lol.

Yeh I got bid accepted and that the admin had to approve but what I think happened is once the deadline had gone Yusri went to the highest bidder on the market. I am never gonna get my midfielder!

Cup Reports Round 1: DuDs Baggies 2-1 Madpool Both teams started with a 3-5-2 formation and the pundits were betting that it would be a thrilling first round tie. Madpool began the game with most of the possession and were looking to stamp their authority on the tie early. It was Baggies who sent the home crowd into ecstasy early as the captain Backroos powered down the exposed Madpool wing and crossed it in to the box, Shearer was there with a bullet of a header that was going nowhere except in the back of the net. Madpool were wasteful in their chances and it was clear both Monk and Gay were not having a good start to the game. The first half closed with the tie still in the balance, the Baggies manager substituted both his forwards in the 2nd half making sure to rotate his large forward line in this tie. Any worries that this would affect their attacking potency was soon squashed when when Paine headed in a looping cross as Madpool's flanks were exposed again. Madpool were still holding the majority of possession but were failing to create clear cut chances. Right at the death Gay chested down a corner for Monk to toe poke home but it was to late for Madpool. It was a superb performance by Baggies who advance to the next round, Madpool fans were left disappointed at such an early exit. Intergalactigo Stars 1-1 Rising Phoenix Two old rivals battled in the first round of the cup, both teams lined up with a 4-4-2 formation. Inter set out looking to boss proceedings but possession was quite even at the start of the game and to the shock of home fans,Kingston latched on to a Crossley pass and slotted it past the Inter goalie. Inter came out in the 2nd half looking to break down a resilient Rising Phoenix who had shut up shop and created no further chances. It looked like there was going to be a shock away victory but right in the last minute Meridus slotted in a beautiful through ball that found Ramos just on side, the defender held the ball up and blasted it past the goalie. Inter fans went wild, having created more chances went through to the next round. Rising Phoenix played quite negative tactics and nearly made it through and will be pleased to have drawn with former champions Inter. Real Peeps 2-0 Yellow Submarine This tie was always going to be a tactical battle and both teams lined up with irregular formations, Peeps went out with a 5-4-1 formation, Yellow Submarine went out with a 4-5-1 formation. Yellow Submarine looked the more confident in midfield in possession but Peeps looked by far the more dangerous making 4 chances to 1, however both teams lone strikers failed to make an impact. After the restart Yellow Submarine used all 3 substitutions and were by far the more creative team, however Peeps took the game by the scruff of the neck when Heinzmann crossed in a ball for Phelan to head in off the post. Yellow Submarine kept coming at Peeps but the game was finished when youth star Brammer ghosted his way past two Submarine payers and threaded in a ball that McAuley just had to tap in. Peeps win a tricky home game and will be glad to have made it to the last 16, Yellow Submarine will be disappointed but now have time to get ready for next season. Peeps I can report on even numbers if you want odd numbers? Twozzock I have sent the invite for our game.

How is Yusri bidding going btw?

It scares me how you keep going on about how bad your team is, I give it a check now and then and every time my only thought is Its Rangers taking out all the lower league teams! They are are putting pressure on they are gaining the upper hand! The lower league teams are being decimated! Wait there is the middle league teams! It looks like the old 10 skill players! They are beating the hell out of any Haden Rangers players that move! In other words I am the real relegation candidate stay off my lawn :p

Yeh that is exactly what I think would make it good. Xpert is one of those easy to pickup (well easyish) hard to master type of games but I sometimes wish it had a bit more depth. I do feel you have a tactical battle with your opponent but would like one or two more things to make it even better. Like if you did wing plays you could assign players you would like to try and cross the ball in the same way you do a playmaker and intellegence, stamina and speed would be good qualities for this person. Still things are changing all the time so who knows what is round the corner!

I have often wished I could do something like that, switch to 4-5-1 from 4-3-3 if I am in the lead by 2 goals or something. Still xpert has advanced quite a bit to be fair, player compatability and subs are something that wasn't in the game when a lot of us started. I would like to see some players have a preference to say be a winger and others a defensive mf. Still I guess that would make it a lot like FM.

The cup was introduced as our off season tourney, so while people are sorting out their sqauds for next season and wanting to play some games it gives us time to do both and have some fa cup fun. Basically Recall will do the draw and then Peeps will post it (Just thought Peeps might be an idea to admin post it for people that don't read the thread.) then you see who you are playing. Because we have a wierd number of teams for a tourney the first round is only played by a few teams, while everyone else gets byes so we can get the magic 16 for the 2nd round so everyone can be in a cup game from then on. You are one of the teams who got a bye but friendlies are set up for these teams, your friendly is against Recall so go on to Recalls team page and invite them for a friendly. In the next round if you are at home invite again and if you are away wait for the invite. Carry on doing this and checking until you are eliminated from the cup. If you are eliminated then just find other people who are eliminated and use that time to play friendlies and prepare your squad for your first season

Never try 4-2-4 lol its the worst formation possible. To me midfield is basically where xpert is won and lost, I personally think it dicates chances more than anything. I also think the game is rather broken in the sense that I have seen lots of teams play defensive against another team playing offensive, xpert then seems to punish the offensive team and give more chances to the defensive team (I guess on the idea of counter attacking football). I am really put off playing offensive unless I am against a really poor team. As for formations I find 4-5-1 is basically the best formation in the game, even with a sole striker the game seems to reward this play style more than 4-3-3. Having said that if you have 3 great midfielders that could get a better mf rating than 4 of your opponents then I would say go for it. I think 4-3-3 is a good home formation and 4-5-1 the defult away formation. Having said all this when you play me next season I will be playing 4-2-4 just to throw you off balance :p

Peeps I will cover 1,3 and 5 of the first round games if you want? Tales I put a bid in for Yusri. Selling a 16 2 midfielder with greedy, free kicks and quick. He is valued at 1.7 mil which I thought was a lot but I guess if you double jumped him would be worth it. Anyone who wants him for a bit less let me know.

Nice win today, I am pumped for the cup hope I get a middle league team home draw. Sad that Paul Bearer was buried alive before approving Undertaker coming to Rangers still I have a replacement lined up so hopefully he can fill the deadmans shoes.

Still can't access xpert it is down for me Nm just got back in and freed up a player spot.

Brought my first big name this transfer window. Jimmy Exton from Real Peeps, a 29 9 skill striker who is fast. Hope he can bring in some goals in the Middle League!
