  1. Dark Souls II

Yeah I've been using those npc summons on new game+ for the trophies or at least trying (I think the npc died on me before I killed the boss.) As for summoning a human player with the npc to a boss I've only had to wait for a few minutes before I saw a white soap or a sun bro sign. I've only used my summon sign a couple of times but it didn't take long for me to get summoned.
  2. Dark Souls II

Nah, it was awesome. Yeah I think the mobs get more health and their attacks do more damage. Maybe they get more aggressive? Haven't really tested it that much. Also you can't summon phantoms for help either. That phantom summon thing didn't bother me since I would've played through the game solo anyway as it was my first playthrough. For me summoning a phantom for a boss on my first playthrough would have felt kinda like cheating.
  3. Dark Souls II

Were you playing on the normal difficulty or in the champions covenant? I played through the game in the champions covenant so I don't if I would've died less if I wasn't in it. Actually still playing mostly in the champions covenant on new game+ in the hopes of getting invaded and getting those awestones. I actually only upgraded the drangleic sword to 5+ and didn't really bother upgrading anything else. Damn that rpg hoarding habit.
  4. Dark Souls II

I was wondering how many times people died during their first playthrough. I died around 688 or 788 times. I thought I would've easily gone beyond thousand deaths but surprisingly I didn't. (You can check your total amount of deaths in majula by checking the obelisk in offline mode.) I primarily used the drangleic sword for most of my playthrough (actually still use it on my new game +) and used a bow on some occasions but mostly melee'd everything. The rings for completing the game without dying or resting at any bonfires seem like they'd be pretty cool for pvp.
  5. Dark Souls II

Don't know if this counts as a subtle hint but
  6. Dark Souls II

Just finished the main story for the first time. It took about 90h. I was stuck at one point in the game and was pretty much wandering for hours until I found a switch I should have noticed way earlier. Joined the covenant of champions as soon as I heard about it and stuck with it through the whole time. Awesome game.
  7. Drunken thread ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everythinh is more fun when you're drunk. Fact. Almost should do it mire often but that would be expensive.
  8. bad stuff thread.

Hahah, that's cute. Here we've had temperatures of about -27° to -30° now for a couple of days and seems it still going to continue. Don't really mind the cold myself but it's kinda annoying that you can't be sure if your car will start or not.
  9. good stuff thread.

Service in the army ended yesterday. Hell yeah!
  10. bad stuff thread.

Spending Christmas at the barracks this year... Sigh...
  11. Dark Souls

Really liking the game even though I had to restart after I had played for about 9 hours because I accidentally killed the merchant who sells bows and arrows early in the game. Well I didn't have to but made it a little easier for myself by getting the drake sword. Shame I can't use the online features of the game because I don't have a gold account but no sense getting one until january when I can make the most of it. And I can only play on the weekends anyway.
  12. bad stuff thread.

Sigh... Still stuck for 161 days in the circus called the army. Seriously what is the point of having the truck drivers serve the whole 362 days when you could easily do it in 9 or 6 months... At some point in time it actually was only 6 months but then some genius got the idea of doubling the time under the pretext of... Well I don't really know the term in english but some kind of licence telling that you're qualified to work as a truck driver. Sure, I get the truck license for free but since I don't even consider working as truck driver it all just seems a bit pointless.
  13. bad stuff thread.

Here in Finland. Serving in the military here is compulsory. Well, not entirely compulsory. If you don't want to join the army you can make it up by doing non-military service but that then lasts about 13 months. The lucky ones only need to serve 180 days in the army and I pretty much got the short end of the stick since I got the longest possible serving period... And if you refuse serving in the military and refuse doing non-military service you go straight to jail.
  14. bad stuff thread.

The worst thing to happen to me at the moment is knowing that I have to serve in the army for a goddamn year... Only 326 days left...
  15. How was your day?

Damn... almost got past the intro on expert in TTFAF. Otherwise my day has been pretty boring.
