  1. Windows 7

The new Taskbar is by far the greatest improvement I've seen in Windows 7. I've always loved Exposé, its something that helps productivity and whilst not copying Exposé Microsoft have done a damn good job at making it their own. I used to get annoyed when I had a large number of programs / windows open that my taskbar would get full, the new taskbar solves that problem and works beautifully with the peek feature. Yep but again this has been integrated with the peek feature meaning sexyness. If your going to buy Windows 7 anyway why not pre-order it and save £45? Surely it's not that mental?
  2. Rate the last film you saw

I was sooo excited to see The Rock on TV last night. I remember loving it as a kid. But my god, its full of cheesy one liners and cliché bullshit. I had to turn it off.
  3. Windows 7

I pre-ordered with Amazon and they haven't took my money. But Windows 7 will require a fresh install, therefore everything will have to be wiped. (if I have understood what I have read).
  4. Windows 7

Thats really bad! Greedy bastards, the amount of money they must make on interest! (not that the interest rate is high, but still!!)
  5. Windows 7

Retail allows you to uninstall and reinstall and doesn't tie you down to your hardware
  6. Windows 7

Well its been leaked to Bit Torrent so if you want it now you can get it now
  7. Rollercoaster Thread

I love the first drop on this ride!
  8. Headphones

Buy some new ones. Your iPod earphones are rock bottom quality, thus not worth repairing. How much have you got to spend?
  9. Mobile Phone Chat

Have you got the 3G or 3GS?
  10. Mobile Phone Chat

The 3GS @ £34.26 a month (18 months) + £274.23 for the phone (from o2's website) adds up to £904. The £30 a month tariff for only 75 mins 125 texts is awfully bad so I wouldn't even look at that as I send over 4 texts a day therefore would be getting charged for going over the allowance. The other maths was from moneysavingexpert, i believe the cheapest deal is by signing up to the £45 a month contract then downgrading after 9 months. Check that website for the details
  11. Laptop for HD Video Editing

    plus one..........................(filler)
  12. Mobile Phone Chat

*jealous* but the iphone is just sooooo damn expensive. I can't justify spending £801.66 over 18 months on a phone. Although you can get £60 cashback for buying online, which eases the pain, but not enough. I have promised myself if I get a new job then I get my self an iphone.
  13. Laptop for HD Video Editing

I'd seriously be looking at increasing their budget £400 isn't alot for a laptop to edit HD video. I'd be doubling the budget. HD video requires alot of CPU and RAM. And ideally a Desktop would be far more suited.
  14. Windows 7

Hmm I'm not 100% sure, maybe bios would give you this information. If not then its a case of taking the side panel off your case and checking.
  15. Windows 7

You'll need a 3.5" Hard Drive. Then either SATA or IDE compatible hard drive depending on your system
  16. Windows 7

Im guessing mircosoft want / need to shift the remaining XP user base to Windows 7, hence the low price. Nobody should be running a 9 year old OS. This applies particularly to Colleges/University and a large number of businesses which saw Vista as hassle they didn't want to deal with.
  17. Windows 7

£89 is a great bargain for the professional. Is £89 cheaper than Home Premium @ full price? If so then I'd be very tempted :awesome:
  18. Windows 7

I've just ordered Home Premium @ £45 its a steal.
  19. Windows 7

Shweeeeet let us know how it goes!
  20. Windows 7

try this program I'm sure this is the program I used a while back, super easy to use. ie say how many Gb you need your partition to be, hit apply, your computer will reboot and it will spend 5 minutes creating your new partition then boot up and its done. super easy
  21. Windows 7

Im sure you can run files from one partition to the other but I believe programs have to be installed on the OS thats operational in order for them to work.
  22. Windows 7

Could you not partition your hard drive and install Windows 7 on the new partition? Then once your done erase the partition and you're back to normal
  23. At my work, they bin CV's without looking at them unless they have a covering letter. Your CV states your qualifications / work experience etc. It does not tell the employer how you will benefit the company, what type of work your looking for (this may be obvious for some jobs) and all that jazz. Basically, your coving letter should help bond you to your potential employer
