  1. Surround Sound System (the second coming)

Hey Twilight_Link, I remember when I was trying to sort out my surround sound setup a while back now, it was a right pain in the arse! I ended up getting my receiver from Richer Sounds as they're pretty cheap yet still have good stuff: RECEIVERS SPEAKERS If getting separates is too much hassle or too expensive, you could always try looking at All-In-One systems: PACKAGES I was trying to get an All-In-One setup after my first receiver died but getting one that would work with the Gamecube proved impossible as every one I looked at would only decode DPL2 from a CD or DVD present in the system and not from an externally connected source i.e. Gamecube, So I just got another receiver. But maybe the situation with these has changed now as it's been a long time since then so it might be worth a look as they can be a lot cheaper than a separates system. Anyway hope that helps, Good Luck.
  2. Is it just me, or are some people on this forum a little too easily wound up.
  3. Games your currently playing.

Check under my sig for what I’m playing at the moment. But you can add to that Pro Evo 5, (Demo) which I’ve been playing on my PC quite a bit too.
  4. Well he's not going to dis it, otherwise it’d make Microsoft look silly when they copy the idea for the X-Box 720.
  5. I think that’s more to do with the fact that most casual gamers don’t know about technical specifications and therefore 99% of people that buy the PlayStation 2 think it’s got the most powerful hardware.
  6. I’d be very surprised if DTS 7.1 makes it in to the final specs. If so I’ll have to get a couple more speakers!
  7. The perfect launch lineup?

I think there should only be 2 launch games from Nintendo themselves and make up the rest with 3rd party titles, I’d go with: A good single player game like Metroid or Mario (more likely) and a primarily multiplayer based game like Warioware or Smash Bros. (again more likely). Then 2 weeks after launch another 1st party game (assuming the previous week has seen 3rd party releases). And from that point onwards at least one 1st party title a month. Oh – and a steady release of downloadable retro games too.
  8. The moment I saw the revolution controller and realized what it could do, one game immediately came in to my mind… …Warioware! As I’m currently playing through Warioware: Twisted on the GBA it’s become clear to me that the Revolution is the perfect new home for this fantastic franchise and I for one hope to see it become a reality on the system. A couple of things I’d like to see in a Revolution version would be a retro section made up of N64 classics, and the use of real life video footage for the realistic minigames. Here are a few mock-up screen shots I created: So if anyone has any Ideas on how the controller could be used, or what they’d like to see in a new Warioware game on Revolution please post them here.
  9. Ideas for Warioware Revolution!?

Maybe if the perspective was changed so you are looking to the side of the character that’s jumping, with the other end of the rope ahead of you to the opposite side of the character (hope this is making sense ) and then you rotate the controller in a circular motion to spin the rope? A bit like in Nintendogs with the stylus.
  10. Pro Evo Soccer 5 PC Demo Out

I’ve got it set up like ISS2 (only footiee game I own for the cube despite all its glitches) so it’s: B = shoot A = pass Y = through ball X = cross L = cursor R = run One thing I’ve noticed though is that I can’t seem to get true analogue control, I’ve got movement mapped to the stick but it’s just using it like a d-pad with only 4 directions. Apart from that though it plays great, got the C-Stick set up for step-overs too! Something that was lacking in ISS2.
  11. Pro Evo Soccer 5 PC Demo Out

Cool, thanks for the link I’ll give it a try sometime.
  12. Yeah good point. I’ve got a feeling they might make the cable a little bit longer than the one on the prototype, plus as much as a completely wireless setup would rule I don’t think it’ll be feasible without having a serious impact on the battery life anyway.
  13. Pro Evo Soccer 5 PC Demo Out

Downloaded it earlier, I’ve been playing with my Gamecube controller thanks to super joy box 13! (I wish it would come out on Gamecube ) Oh well this is the next best thing I guess. Hey sweet goal |Laguna|, but how did you record it?
  14. Better Quality Controller Video!

Good quality video, but for some reason it stops playing in the 18th minute and won’t play again until the 23rd, does anyone else have that problem or is it just my rubbish PC?
  15. Anyone compress a gif for me?

GIF Movie Gear. You can get a trial from here: http://www.download.com/3000-2186-10004382.html The link is for a newer version than what I’ve got so maybe it can be optimized better.
  16. Anyone compress a gif for me?

    Best I could do: 41k
  17. For as long as I can remember now I’ve always been just a little bit disappointed with Nintendo’s hardware unveilings, (before absolutely loving them) but this time as soon as I saw it I had no such disappointment at all which is bizarre seeing as it’s such a radical change. Seeing the video straight after the images though just confirmed it for me, it’s like the perfect controller, a combination of all of Nintendo’s previous pads rolled in to one with a new “twist†–sorry. But I’m so excited to discover this new way of playing games and I really do think that Nintendo is paving the way for how all games will be controlled in the future. My only negative opinion towards the controller is an extremely minor one, and that is that the cable connecting the controllers looks a bit short…told you it was minor, I just think it would be better if it was completely wireless.
  18. Hopefully this kind of thing will be made customizable so you can either have it set to slight movements if you’re tired :bah: , or set it to full on massive movements for the times you want to freak out!
  19. Distances Required to play Revo

That’s a very good point, but I’m sure Nintendo will have made it so it’s playable in even very small rooms. Especially given the kind of space most people have in Japan!
  20. VGcats hates the controller

That actually looks quite good, I like the way all of the buttons are still accessible through the controller. Notice IGN had taken the liberty of adding a second Z-button on the left hand side.

  22. Mario Paint

The best thing about Mario Paint in my opinion is the background music, it’s just so chilled out. I hope they make a version of it for the DS.
  23. Rate the Above Poster's Avatar and Signature

10/10 for being the only animated avatar on here.
  24. Rate the Above Poster's Avatar and Signature

8/10. I was going to make a new one with the Revolution controller too but I got lazy.
  25. Your revolution game wishlist and why....?

Yeah? Can’t believe I missed that one (Warioware is one of my favourite Nintendo franchises) but hey if so…bring it on!!
