Did someone break their NDA and Matt swiftly removed it? Yeah I understand you guys, this seems a bit weird... I wasn´t sure either about putting it here... But after it went down I decided to put it on the forums, since there has to be something to it if Matt removes it. Now he puts it back in and has removed a paragraph. That must have been the reason for removing the article. Are Nintendo gonna show the new Game Boy at Leipzig?
-
Exactly what I was thinking. There is something big and interesting coming our way
-
Why did IGN remove it so quickly with the message of sources not wanting to go to jail today, and then put it back up with this paragraph missing? Did they find something out that Nintendo don´t want us to know until Leipzig? Only time will tell...
-
Hmmm... The article is back up... but an interesting part is missing... "Microsoft's Xbox 360 console is out and Sony announced a release date for PlayStation 3 months ago. So the big question is, when will Wii launch? The only official answer from Nintendo is sometime before the Thanksgiving holiday in America. But sources -- both on the hardware and development side -- argue that the console will be hitting much sooner. A number of big-name publishers are set to release their Wii games in mid-to-late October, which suggests that a system debut could not be that far off. And several insiders have told IGN that November 2 could, in fact, be the big day. Thing is, not all of our contacts are in agreement on the date. Some have suggested that November 12 could, instead, by Wii's launch date. Regardless, though, it seems that Wii fans can look forward to their console sooner rather than later. Sources suggest that Wii will launch with a $229 price tag and will be available in both black and white. Nintendo has allegedly bumped production of Wii hardware to more than five million units by the end of the year, a significant upgrade to previous numbers. The jump is purportedly based on the positive reaction to Wii from press and industry analysts at E3 2006. The console is unlikely to be region-free, although the lock is unrelated to hardware; a firmware update could theoretically allow gamers to play import software. We presented this information to Nintendo of America for response, but a spokesperson for the company said that it does not comment on rumors and speculation." Notice how the part about lower spec version for a future handheld... is missing?

I did not care at ALL for this game a few weeks back, but I´ve found myself looking at screenshots, videos and articles on it and I just simply put like it. Alot. Looks like a game you´ll pick up to have a good time and yell out loud "Wiiiiiiiii!!!!!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!"

I think it was a given that Wii got PoP, didn´t every current-gen get at least one PoP? (Not sure of PSP though since I don´t care for that thing) So, you think we might see Sam Fisher swing that Wiimote around and hit some bogie in the neck with it? BG&E? Ghost Recon?

Microsoft's Xbox 360 console is out and Sony announced a release date for PlayStation 3 months ago. So the big question is, when will Wii launch? The only official answer from Nintendo is sometime before the Thanksgiving holiday in America. A number of big-name publishers are set to release their Wii games in mid-to-late October, which suggests that a system debut could not be that far off. And several insiders have told IGN that Tuesday, November 2 could, in fact, be the big day. Insiders claim to have seen final hardware. The Broadway CPU is allegedly in the 750 CL line, a continuation of the 750 GX series. IBM may be working on a revised Broadway chip with a lower clock speed for a future Nintendo handheld -- presumably one that plays GameCube discs. Nintendo has allegedly bumped production of Wii hardware to 5.5 million units by the end of the year, a significant upgrade to previous numbers. The jump is purportedly based on the positive reaction to Wii from press and industry analysts at E3 2006. We presented this information to Nintendo of America for response, but a spokesperson for the company said that it does not comment on rumors and speculation. It´s now gone, this is there instead... At the request of our sources, who do not wish to go to jail this week, we have temporarily removed the Wii rumors piece that was posted earlier. We apologize to our readers for the misstep and will work to post the news at a future date. check it : http://wii.ign.com/articles/723/723894p1.html

That´s really nice. Any ideas how they might use the Wiimote?
-
Ahhhh I don´t know... Three consoles already and I think that´s pushing it... Fourth? Will be too much for the market I think. Most people have 1, maybe 2. Some have all 3, but when the 4th enters the debate and eventually, the living room, things start to get a bit confusing and annoying. Annoying? Each console will propably have something to offer that most of us would want, and therefor it would get annoying that there are FOUR consoles on the market, and who knows what next-next-gen might cost... Unless Sony dies along with the PlayStation brand and in comes S-E... Oh... Maybe that´s a hint

The small respect I had for Sony just vaporized right now. They stole Nintendo´s idea and called it their innovation. I´m calling it: FUCK SONY!
-
I agree, I´m not fond of Sonic and I´m really not that into the idea of having Mario and Sonic in a game together. Smash Bros spots for Sonic and co. are fair to make the game "deeper". Would be fun to see Mega Man and other gems. But a Mario & Sonic game... Nah, not for me
-
Wait for it... There´s about 21 hours and 37 minutes untill the Ninty conference starts, so you don´t have to wait too long to find out.
-
Pffff... Zelda beaten by Halo 3?! The gods are crying! Halo 3 will be like Halo 2 which was pretty much like the original Halo... Lots of corridors that look like the corridors you just walked through and lots of annoying aliens that talk like characters from a Disney movie. Ok I´ll admit it, Halo 2 had decent online play, but the main game was pretty much... Meh... A lot of the same from the orignal... Don´t get me wrong, it´s a good game. But a bit overrated in my opinion... But MP3 I can not wait for. Can´t wait to see how it plays on the Wii

Haha I wasn´t saying that some people think the real one there is a part of the game, I just remember on GS forums at least people were wondering what she has to do with the game. It was also asked in an interview with Nibris, what she has to do with Sadness but I think it wasn´t answered properly. I wasn´t suggesting some people think she´s an in-game character
-
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I noticed on GS forums that some people are wondering what that woman over there has to do with the game, that is, the real woman. As you can see on the new pics, she holds the controller in the same way as the character below. First she holds it above her head, next image shows her ramming it down, like a sword or a knife, but on the image below the character holds something like a shovel. Or something... Probably a glimpse of how the trailer will showcase the gameplay. Maybe someone will call me Mr. Obvious, that people have figured it out, but I guess some have not noticed this yet.
