There is a few things I want to say/get advice on. Im a bit drunk at the time of writing so I might take back what I say tomorrow(or the next time I look at the pc). I have a girlfriend….we have been together a long time (7years) im only 23 and we got together when we were 16 we split up last year for 6 months ish and have got back together somehow (I cant remember how it just happened) there is a polish girl I work with (her nationality is irrelevant) that I have recently taken a like for(who likes me) and also my best friends younger sister who I also like a lot….my question is, have any of you been in such a situation and what would /did you do? Like I said im just in from town and more than a little drunk, so I might shi away from this tomorrow.

tai boxing and bjj are a great combo the boxing teaches great attacking and the bjj teaches defensive and submission techniques.

Man this thread died a death! I guess martial arts are only good when you control it with a joypad (or wiimote which will be a little more of a workout) perhaps people do other sporting activities?

I found that just knowing I could kick the shit out of someone has given me the confidence and presence to be able to talk myself out of a situation, where as violence would just end up with me in court facing charges of assault! Just wondering if there are any martial arts practisioners on the boards? What do you practice how long have you been training, have you got any interesting story’s regarding your training? Has it come in useful? I personally am a bujinkan budo taijutsu practitioner (ninjutsu) and have been training for over a year. Due to the confidence gained since I started training I have been easily been able to talk myself and friends out of more than a few hairy situations will out drinking in town.

thanks that is what i thought might happen on a better note my psp just paid for itself i was at a press conference the other day and had my psp in my pocket with my showreel on it and used it to show my showreel to some potential clients and behold my company picked up a tv advert gig that should pull in a few quid!!

ok, for me i will only get the wii version i will use the extra cash from not buying the GC version to buy another wii game

why would you get both versions?

Are certain versions of the psp firmware required some games? Or can any game play on any version?

my original budget was 3500-4000 euro this cost me nearly twice as much coming in at a mind numbing €5851.00 (before vat....but i get to claim that back lol) it will be delivered by mid of this month (about the 15-20th) because of intel not pushing this new cpus out the door fast enough...its gona be a long wait!

I am ordering my system on Monday so can you recommend a workstation maker that I should go to? im not going to build it myself as my budget is as much as i need, so i would rather have a system with a warrantee. also the gpu i picked is the ATI FireGL V7350 it will hammer the crap out of any content creation package i us with it. but as a gaming card will it hold up and play games like C&c 3/ oblivion /quake wars?

Ill take everything you said into account before I buy. I need this workstation for work mainly but I would also like for it to be a games machine (all work and no play…..and all that) do you thinks intels Woodcrest xeons will be ok for this? And what about graphics? Do the pro graphics cards perform well as gaming cards or will they fall on there ass?

ye i should know more about hardware but i am a 2d animater at heart and only picked up on 3d when it was forced down my neck at my last job! but now i love it but all the years as a 2d artist took tole on my tech knowledge. im thinking on the lines of opteron based workstation with a firegl card 4 gigs of ram and if as you said amd drops its cpu prices as a responce to core 2 i will be very happy is that info confirmed? (also i didnt get a hell of a lot of help from cgtalk)

Hi I need some help from any of the tech wizards here. Im building a graphics workstation for the purpose of 3d/2d animation and vfx, I was going to purchase a machine from monarchcomputers.com but when I went to buy I found that they don’t ship to Ireland. I was wondering if you guys know any similar site that builds computers for the European market I really need to get this machine asap as my system is dying a death with the work im getting in at the moment….(and I cant afford a box or alienware workstation) If you could recommend any components I would be over the moon. I need help specifically with processors and graphics cards. I have about €3500 to spend in total but would be willing to go up a few hundred for quality. Thanks.

I never got a chance to play killer7 but the visual style is really appealing to me. odiously this developer has some balls to release such a bizarre and complex game, this bodes well for Heroes, im looking forward to seeing it although I don’t think it will be cell shaded. On a side note is killer7 worth tracking down?
