For me, Gen 4 had the least memorable (I can't call any Gen bad) Pokemon. But it does have Infernape, Electivire and 'How in the world did that head slip under the radar' Palkia. Must... Not... How would you know where said friend is exactly? There is no way you can get a map on the TV with enough detail to reliably inform you of that player's location with just a glance. You'd be reduced to pressing a D-Pad direction and praying that they're in the location you're hoping for. And that's not very fun.

Well considering those Minecraft clones on the WiiU eShop sell pretty well. It's a safe bet that this will sell a ton. (A ton by WiiU standards) Of course, if this came out years ago, it would have been a different story, but that's beside the point.

Gonna have to side with @Sheikah on the Cloud front. Although I think it's weird you're comparing an FMV scene with Smash gameplay footage in the first place. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the FF7 Remake team helped Sakurai with the design of Smash Cloud.
