Decided to stop into a Cash Converters and found a Balance Board for £5.99! It looks like it's riddled with athletes foot so giving it a good bleaching now, whilst the Wii Fit U trial downloads. I've put a Fit Meter through Flubit so *fingers crossed* the balance board works, and I get the whole thing plus unlock the software for £25 - ammaazziinng. EDIT: So the Balance Board works, hurray! I went to test out a few mini games only to horrifyingly find out that some require two motion+ wiimotes. I only have the one (Zelda edition, hiyaa) fuaming at this money-guzzling software. Is there no way to tell it I don't have the extra wiimote, so it can skip those specific exercises and still give me a programme to work from?

I'm currently sitting at a desk with my old metallic red 3DS in a box in front of me, ready to be posted off to the lucky lady who bought it on eBay. You'd think I'd be sad about saying good-bye to such a great little handheld console BUT NOPE, got that XL now and I'm so happy I made the switch. Anyone on the fence, go for it.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

I did the Thieve's Hideout, not knowing it was a dungeon - that's how fun it was! I keep finding myself getting pissy with the lack of direction, but the joy of discovering things/places and then finding out that you're exactly where you're supposed to be is incredible. Well done Nintendo, another corker. -

Against all odds, my Zavvi preorder turned up today despite telling me I'd have to wait till monday! Amazing! It's taken hours to do a full system transfer and download A Link Between Worlds, but bloody hell the gold XL is beautiful. -
I have star points for Luigi's Mansion 2 that I never registered, I was selling the game on eBay (never managed to get into it unfortunately despite loving the original) with the points card. Quickly revised it and removed all trace of the points card haha, hope that nobody notices.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Zelda download code? I'm getting the 3DS XL bundle, and I'd like a free Mario download but no way in hell can I hang about till the 27th to redeem A Link Between Worlds.

My Zelda 3DS XL got despatched today! Estimated delivery: monday. *burns down Zavvi HQ* -
Apologies if this has already been asked, but as someone who has never owned any Wii Fit software (and particularly hardware) would it be better for me to pick up the official Wii Fit U bundle, a whopping £85 to preorder on Amazon, or in theory I can get a meter for £20, a dodgy knockoff balance board for £30ish and then the software is free forever right?

I'm dreading paying rent next month, but the Zelda Gold XL is still preordered from Zavvi. Anyone know how good they are about posting consoles/preorders on time? It says "Expected Dispatch 22/11/13" but I'll be pissed if they only pop it in the post on launch day. Also, if anyone is wanting an original metallic red 3DS I've stuck mine on eBay here!
-
Haha, no. I've been half expecting a 3DS+ or something since the XL came out, with a second analogue stick and better screen resolution. Maybe this is it now, and they'll save those features for the next generation of handheld.
-
What are the chances of a new handheld coming out in the next year or so? Desperately want that gold Zelda XL but I do already have a red 3DS that I barely touch as it is, would be a double kick in the teeth if there's an even better handheld out in the near future. (nobody dare say "2DS" at me)

The postman has been and gone. Nothing. Even chased him down the road, all like "are you quite sure you're not forgetting something?" but with no luck. BLOODY SHOPTO! I could ring their necks. And that smug postman.

They often buy things in great bulk, and have pre-arranged discounts in place. So it looks like they lost money, but in actual fact they probably order 100 Rayman games at a time and get them for less than what they offer customers. I don't think they're going to be around forever though, so use them whilst you can...

I haven't booted up my town in about a month now. Curious as to what state it's in, but will it break my heart? I'm imagining a sea of corpses, barren homes and gangs of cockroaches roaming the streets

I'm really tempted by this new Game voucher that brings the Ganondorf limited edition down to near enough £50, but then I remember I'm paying near enough £50 for a game I already have on my shelf and a very elaborate kinder egg toy. Can't bring myself to enter the card details on the order. The game on it's own will surely slip to £30ish within the next few weeks, right? (Yes, I know everyone is saying the same thing, long hair don't care)
