Yeah, I did that new MH promotion thing today, and when you log in on club Nintendo the first thing that pops up is a kid holding a banner with the code on, so I imagine it will be there! 7 working days...Jesus. I'm staying up til midnight thinking it will be automatically generated, won't get my hopes up...

Just been in my local game, having a mooch around the 3DS section, some chap next to me started chatting away "I'm really looking forward to this game, really can't wait for it" He said while pointing at Animal Crossing. I thought he was on the phone, he wasn't. He was talking to me. "Thing is though mate, I've got a download code for it. Download yeah. But I've only got a 2GB memory card for my 3DS, and I really want it. I'm fucked basically. Fucked. ABSOLUTELY FUCKED. what am I going to do?" Now I am a fairly jovial chap and will always talk to someone if they start a conversation with me, but I genuinely couldn't summon a single word from my mouth. Animal Crossing fever has reached critical levels in London! Hope all those who have got it already are enjoying, hoping to join you at midnight, come on So many games code!!

I didn't quite articulate myself properly there, what I meant was I was watching it thinking how great it will be to play it again, not thinking how nice it will be with better graphics, because I didn't really notice a massive change in graphics at all, apart from, as you mentioned, crispness to it. So I do agree with you on that, but yeah I just think its not quite as amazing as first thought and that could be purely because the style was so defining in the first place!

He probably believes full well he is about to be blasted out of a cannon barrel and into tropical freeze. Mad as a lorry that man!

I posted a similar comment in the zelda thread last night, my question is do you think this is because they haven't managed to maximise the HD/ power of the Wii U properly, or is it because the style they used is so timeless anyway? I personally feel its the later, I was watching it with joy and nostalgia at the thought of playing it again, not because i would play it again with supped up graphics!

I absolutely love Iwata, he's such a character. But I wonder if he ever goes home at night, looks in the mirror, and thinks "what the fuck have I been up to today?"

Ah that's the first thing I noticed, gutted! Wonder why that game has slipped... hopefully a Wii U version too, that would be perfect for a cross over game as, like MH, there isn't really and end to the game, you can just keep on playing!

Yeah I have that too. Wait, aren't there rumours of an announcement of sorts tomorrow? Perhaps they have dropped the MEGATON in our letter boxes!... I thought it was for E3 at first or AC, if it isn't one of them, what could it be? Edit: Nintendo of Europe tweeted this morning to expect suprise visits and content through steet pass and letterbox. Obviously we have had Iwata, Aonuma and Konno come visit, could this be part of the suprise content? I've had mine since Sunday.

Miiverse update, can now link to Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Tumblr! Seen the announcement through the browser myself, is it working through the console too does any one know? Edit: Ok Nintendolife have said its google+ and tumblr as well, however through my browser just says FB and Twitter.

Watching it with a news hat on made it such a different experience, but I was glad to get home last night and watch through the presentation again and the developer interviews. Any of those game announcements should be megatons really but because we all, myself included, get carried away with what we want to see,there was a bit of disappointment. This morning though, well, a new Mario game for Christmas? A new DK game for Christmas too? These are reasons why I bought a Wii U and I am really excited by them. And I also know Nintendo has plans for 2014 now as well. I love the DK series, and although at first I was a bit surprised Retro were behind it, full credit to @tapedeck for his post in the tropical freeze thread regarding sales figures for the series, it's a system seller! And games that have turned around the 3DS' fortunes are now coming to Wii U, with brand recognition to boot, which can only be a positive. I think a lot of what we hope for, being Nintendo gamers, could hinge on how well Pikmin 3 does. I would regard that as a niche title, certainly not a system seller, so I think the fate of that title could determine whether Nintendo thinks its worth bringing games like Starfox, F Zero and Metroid on to Wii U, or just sticking to the games they know will sell well. Regardless, I feel very positive about the games I have to look forward to for the rest of this year and into 2014

The morning after the night before...I am really excited about this! Initial reservations about 'hang on, is this a continuation of the 3DS game?' Has given way to 'HANG ON, IS THIS A CONTINUATION OF THE 3DS GAME?!' Which is an absolute stonker in my books. Worlds look lush, gameplay looks like an absolute riot, and it's from the same team behind Super Mario 3DLand AND the Galaxy series. Not some Tom, Dick and Harry developer, but the creators our our last few Mario games which have been amazing! and it's out for Xmas. Christ, if there is a price cut on the console parents will lap this up at Christmas for their kids. "hey, didn't we buy that for little Timmy on his 3DS?" "yeah, and he loved it so much, he would be over the moon with this for Christmas!..and WHAT? A new DKC aswell?! I loved that as a child and would be over the moon with this for Christmas, this is THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER."...is how the conversation might go Very much looking forward to this

Just watched this back through my Wii U, I think it looks lovely and all but...what a testament to the original art style that I am not watching thinking 'wow it looks sooo much better', more that I am just going to get to play Wind Waker again. Considering the slating Nintendo when it was shown all those years ago, it stands the test of time terrifically!

Perhaps Wii Fit woman has her own game coming out developed in collaboration with EA?!...I think I saw part of that interview, he was being quite evasive and just kind of talking, rightly at their event, of what Nintendo were offering. Finally managed to watch some of the videos on eshop through my Wii U, my god does it make such a difference! Graphics look amazing on all of the games, everything flowing smoothly with no buffering/glitches (well, I have to leave my videos to load for 5 minutes before watching them, still...) It just annoys me, and I know I have been on about this a few times, why didn't they have an e3 channel for this on Wii U. Have it so the video plays live through your Wii U as you're watching, showing off the graphics in HD through your HD TV, Nintendo Direct(ly) into your Wii U.
