  1. And yet admitted punching the guy and was bang to rights on CCTV twatting someone who was no threat to him whatsoever because his mate had just elbowed him the the face and he was falling all over the shop. All we need now is for the victim to be accused of hitting Stevie G's fist with his chin.

Gerrard is a filthy footballer and an all round dodgy twat, how he's treated in the media as if butter wouldn't melt is beyond me.

  2. Anyone just get an email from nintendo advertising this game in Spanish? Probably the first advertising for it I've seen and it's in the wrong language, sums up the marketing for this game.

  3. I've ordered stuff from Play-Asia before and not been stung on it. I've ordered it along with about £20 of assorted Japanese tat (Thought I might as well buy some other stuff too seeing as I was paying for shipping), so I guess I'll find out.

  4. is there any way to stop the wii updating when you insert a new nintendogame?

Preloader allows you to auto-skip updates, as well as providing some failsafes to allow you to get into the homebrew channel and reinstall stuff if you manage to corrupt your system menu.

Waninkoko's already released a new version of his system updater which allows you to update to 4.1 without losing any homebrew functionality.

  5. I don't buy it for a minute tbh. If the right player becomes available Fergie will buy him. Pretty sure hes just frustrated because everybody knows united have the ronaldo money and have been bumping prices up. Would be surprised if there's another player in at united by the end of August personally.

You'd think he might have saved the number 7 shirt then, rather than giving it to Owen.

  6. The way it is at the minute though 80% is deemed OK, 90% is deemed good. 70% is basically considered dross and the numbers below 70 are just to add some extra hyperbole about exactly how truely awful a game is. I don't think I've seen any review sites that give anything like 50% to an average game.

  7. I don't want any of these amazing £500,000 cars they test on Top Gear by racing them across countries. I want the one the cameramen are in that stays ahead of them the whole race, filming the supercar out the back window

  8. Sunderland have signed Frazer Campbell. Went onto their message board to see what their fans thought but there were more threads are about Newcastle's friendly against Shamrock Rovers, what Steven Taylor's goal was like and if the "scum game" was on any internet streams or radio channels. ::shrug:

  9. Can't really argue with that Eurogamer review. Uninspiring sums this game up, if it had come out on the 360, even with 360 standard graphics it wou;dn't have got a second glance off anybody. If it had come out on the PC it would have been published by ValuSoft. Generic, dull, featureless backdrops, beyond generic plot, generic enemies, tired weapons. Hope people don't buy this in big numbers just because this type of game is a rarity on the Wii, it'll give developers the impression they can churn out shit like this and hungry Wii owners will gobble it down regardless.

76% what the hell ore they on !

Well, that ONM score is higher than the average it got.

  10. He just hasn't been the same player since his Liverpool days but he had a great scoring record in Spain but just couldn't stay in the team which was unfortunate for him. He wasn't able to do the business at Newcastle, but Man United should be a different proposition as Michael Owen is likely to thrive on the chances that the Red Devils' attacking play will provide him with, something that was never available at St. James Park.

I don't think Man U are the type of team that will suit him either to be honest, they don't usually have space for goal poachers feeding off other people's work and they don't have set roles of creating wingers and finishing strikers - everyone in a Man U shirt has to be an all round player, tracking back, battling for the ball and making their own chances. If he just wanders around wanting someone to put a goal on a plate for him like he did for us he won't get off the bench very much. Even when he got the chances he missed loads of sitters for us late on in the season and didn't look like the Owen of old even when he was one on one with the keeper. Saying that, maybe he'll be more motivated to put the graft in in a Man U shirt, if he can get over the fact he really wishes it was a Liverpool or England top (if the rags are to be believed he was willing to take a hefty pay cut to go to the Scousers but Rafa didn't want him.)

  11. Forgot to mention that the quality of ITV commentary of the England game was astounding.

What was Tyldsley talking about saying Crouch should have been sent off for that wayward arm? 5 minutes of "Definite red card if the referee saw it, rules of the game, blah blah, hit him in the face" and then 5 minutes of backtracking and saying it might not have been a sending off after all!

  12. The labour govenment are more or less compleatly to blambe for the mess the country is in. They were supposed to control and regulate banks they didnt.

So the main thing Labour got wrong was becoming too much like the Tories and all other fiscally conservative parties and not regulating business tightly enough? It was Thatcher who started the deregulation of financial institutions. You can blame New Labour for abandoning their socialist roots in not reversing it, but you can't blame them for it happening in the first place.

    More regulation = Left/Socialist/Liberal

    Less regulation = Right/Capitalist/Conservative

Voting Tory because you don't think Labour haven't regulated financial institutions strictly enough is like voting Republican because you don't think Obama supports gay marriage enough.

  13. 80 million is ridiculous!

That's man united's transfer kitty sorted then!

And everybody knows it. Ideally they would have replaced him first, now whoever they try and buy to fill that gap, the teams they're buying from know they've got £80m sitting in the bank and everyone's going to jack the price right up. They'll probably end up paying £30m for Valencia.

  14. Arnt these groups linked directly to hate and terror. The BNP although its members may be linked to these things. The party itself dosent promote them openly. Even if it is just by clever wording. So they arnt the same.

That's pretty much exactly what most political wings of militants do though - Sinn Fein through the troubles and the political section of the National Front, even when it was pretty much a political front for the likes of Combat 18. You rarely get organised groups operating in England which explicitly condone violence, even if they clearly support the perpetrators through their wording.
