  1. I think Bobby was losing it at the time and I think it was getting to the point where he'd taken the club as far as he could. So in terms of replacing him, maybe that wasn't a bad idea. But if Freddy was going to do it, it should have been done in the summer, rather than giving him money to spend and sacking him four games in with no idea of who to replace him with, thus ending up with Souness.

  2. Don't think Keegan would take it, don't think the glory days would return if he did to be honest. I don't want Shearer as coach until he's proved himself elsewhere. He was a great player but that doesn't equal great manager - look at Souness. In fact, which managers in the premiership were great players? Hughes, Pearce... Who else?

  3. Some genuine simpletons texting Sky Sports News "Shearer for manager!", "Shearer for chairman!" "Pearce with Shearer as his assistant" "Bring back Keegan" "Allerdyce isn't good enough, go for Mourinho/Hitzfeld/Ferguson/Jesus." Why do they choose these idiots to have their messages read out? It's the kind of thing Freddy bases his decisions on....

  4. Yeah, heard that when I got up this morning, emergency board meeting with a possibility of him getting sacked. They had this all the time with Souness though, emergency meeting, press camped outside saying he's about to be sacked, then nowt.

  5. What do people make of reports that Man Utd and Everton could get points deducted?! I think it's unlikely as they have apparently broken the same rules U18 and B13 as West Ham so surely they won't be deducted points as the Hammers didn't.

It's sorted, they've just pretended there was no verbal agreement after all and Howard could have played but Everton didn't want to play him.

  6. I don't really have a problem with Scousers, it's just some of their fans are arrogant divine-righters, along with a fair few cockney/Irish/Scottish hangers on who plumped for them because they were winnign stuff when they were growing up.

Was at the second last game before the Kop got torn down and there was a good atmosphere. We had some cracking games with them and a good crack after, especially one match where we sang Never Walk Alone and their lot gave us a chorus of Blaydon Races. Canny few of them waited outside and shook our hands afterwards as well (Think we beat em 3-1). Although I know some people who went to Anfeild in the 80s and got variously robbed, spat on and had pool balls and bottles of piss thrown at them in the ground so maybe we were lucky.

  7. But the thing is mate, you have pretty much won fuck all, and what little you have won was a long, long time ago.

Uh-huh. 6 FA cup wins is fuck all, 7 FA cup wins counts for something. A liverpool fan having a go about others living in the past when you rely on league wins in the 1900s to prove you're better than Man U.

  8. The only team that can challenge Liverpool at all in England in terms of honours are Man Utd...

    Liverpool FC

    18 League Titles

    5 European Cups

    Man Utd

16 League Title (Soon to be I'd imagine)

    2 European Cups

Among many others, I am just fed up of this new culture that has crawled into football, un-educated glory hunters who deny that football didn't exist before 1992.

Victim of the Sky Sports Generation...

This is what I'm talking about, when it grates that other teams are enjoying more success at the expense of a team with a perceived divine right to honours, stats come out about the fact Liverpool won the league in 1901 and 1905 and Man United didn't. But Newcastle have won "Fuck all" because their FA cup wins and league titles weren't on Sky.

  9. Let me guess, you are one of them people who believe football never existed before 1992...:|

At least some liverpool fans are a bit like that though, singing "You've never won fuck all" to a team that until last year had won the FA cup as many times as them.

  10. that happened when I was there with pompey this year...

Could you do me a favour and throttle that **** with the bell next time you're at a match? I rate Pompey's support but that guy does my nut in, imagine having a season ticket next to that goon. Someone told me he got banned after getting into a fight in Smogland with some Boro lads last season, but no such luck apparently.

  11. Thought the atmosphere was really disappointing for a semi, but it's understandable considering the long-ball negative football both teams have adopted for European football. Funny to clearly hear the Chelsea lot singing "It's so quiet at Anfield" over the home support though.

  12. Oh right, just another bitter, jealous **** then? I'd best not mention you're embarrasing episode in Paris last year, or point out your lack of history, or remind you that you've won fuck all this year and look set for a 4th place finish.

Haha, typical scouser, toys out the pram. Someone said a game involving Liverpool wasn't very exciting, better have a minute's silence on Saturday.
