CommanderSP Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Hello there, For the last few weeks the video games forums in my country have been on fire with some people stating that the video game prices are elevated with no reason. They even cite prices of the Xbox 360 video games being the same across Europe but this is not the case with the soon to be released Wii games. For this reason I ask for your help. If you are a european citizen (living in any of the 25 European Union countries), I would like you to post the price of two video games (the console is irrelevant, alhtough I would like to have some X360 and PS2 games) which have been recently released in Europe. I do not want any bargain price for the game, but the proposed retail price from the company. For instance if you find pro evo 6 on a big video game store chain for 60 Ευros and you find the same game in another store for 65 Euros, before you post this, please ask a salesman about the original retail price of the game. I am looking for retail prices only. I am a bit more interested on third party games which tend to cost more than first party ones and the price can vary from store to store. The prices can be in Euros or in any other local currency available. I would really like to get some prices from some northern parts of Europe, so I kindly ask anyone who lives in those countries to help me out. You can post prices for more than two games but two games would be enough. You are free of course to make any comment you like. Please do not include online stores. I am instested in high street stores and the price of the games in those places. Of course any additional information is welcome. What will you get from all this? Well nothing much I am afraid, apart from the same information that I will get. You will get a better idea of the price fluctuations (if there is any of course) throughout europe, which countries sell games too expansive, which ones sell them too cheap and we will try to find out if there is some logic to the price differentiation or not. Thank you for your time. CommanderSP
