Colin Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 I also had this come up lastnite. I've got no idea what it is, but I cancelled it out.
RoadKill Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Winfixer 2005 appears to contain spyware, as shown by a quick Google search. Oh and "lastnite" = "last night".

uncle_buckman Posted September 29, 2005 Author Posted September 29, 2005 I got got rid of it. You had to pay for it anyway.
Chanser Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Argh Winfixer managed to pop-up automatically, whenever I start firefox. It didn't even ask me to install, it just did it, luckily when I installed Ad-Block it seemed sort it out . Somehow these Ads are managing to find a loophole through Firefox Anti-Pop-up feature. Don't install Winfixer, useless piece of software and it has a trojan. Search for winfixer popup on Google. Highly recommend that you run Ad-Aware, Spybot, Ewido Security Suite and MS Antispyware.
