MX is a free newspaper distributed in the melbourne cbd. just about EVERYONE who gets a train reads it. anyway, they gave a small roundup on e3.

seeing as im not doing a copy/paste from the net, ill only talk about the wii stuff.

article title: Nintendo, Wii love it

===========

Nintendo showed the way with the Wii console at the E3 games forum in Los Angeles last week. Crowds queued for up to four hours for a first hand play with the companys next generation console.

The accompanying software titles including metroid prime 3: corruption, and super mario galaxy, were the talk of the conference.

Technically, the Wii lacks the grahic punch of the Playstation 3 and the Xbox360, but that didnt appear to affect the games on show.

The Wii-mote also performed as nintendo promised, with gamers able to use the device as a virtual tennis racquet and symphony baton.

Pricing for the Wii is still being finalised, but analysts predict it will cost about $400AUD.

(they then talk about a couple of xbox360 and ps3 titles)

One of the regular E3 features was also absent this year, with bikini-clad booth babes banned. Exhibitors faced a fine for violating the ruling so there was much less flesh on show for the estimated 60000 participants.

Sony Australia managing director Michael Ephraim said "At least this time I can concentrate on the games."

Next years e3 will run from May 16-18 in Los Angeles.

I think that MX have done quite a nice roundup on the Wii. spoken from the heart! saying what is! all that stuff!

it is a good short round up but if i read that i wouldn't think wow the wii looks great. it doesn't do the wii any favours. but it doesn't make it look shit either.

at least it was factual.
