It's basically a Character map so you can see all of the symbols for a particular font, and click on the buttons to put them in a text box for later copying and pasting. You choose the font you want to see the symbols for. It's good for really complicated fonts (like musical notes) where you need to maximise all of the possible symbols to see what you are typing etc. I made it because I got pissed off when I couldn't start writing some music with my musical notes font because I couldn't see what I was typing, and I didn't want to download anything.
