Einix Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi I have got a major promlem with my computer (OS is Windows XP). When I turn the computer fine it loads up fine. It goes through the bios pc settings etc, however when it has done this the unsafe shutdown comes up with the options to load windows in safe mode and normally or with command or network. I have tried all of these options however waht happens is that goes to the windows XP loading screen then it just resets it self and goes though the hole process again. I have no idea what to do please help.
Bogbas Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Seems like your windows installation has screwed itself. The only proper way to get out of it is to make backups of your important files and reinstall windows. You can also try to repair the installation by using the win xp - cd. Can't remember how it worked, if you selected the repair at the first screen it shows. It goes to some kind of recovery console(hard to use). So if you have a relative/friend that can do it I suggest that you contact them.
Raining_again Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 i suggest a windows format/repair is in order. Bogbas is right your windows is buggered. I would suggest a clean re-install of windows over a repair if you can get hold of your data.
