Gaming Tournament Ideas

Hi, I posted last year when I did this so thought I'd ask again for help.

 

So in February we are running a Japanese Culture Festival, as part of it we are running a Nintendo Gaming Event. Having a retro zone with old consoles and TVs for people to play and three tournaments. Two multiplayer competitor games, and one high score/speeed run type game.

 

Last year we did Smash, Mario Kart and Mario Maker as a speed run competition.

 

A bit of me would rather not do the same thing, but there's not much choice out there...

 

Dopes anyone have any ideas on what we could do for a multiplayer tournament and a high score/speed run tournament?

Also, a random question, does anyone have any advice on renting TVs and Wi U consoles? We rented 4 last year for about £600!! Would prefer more!! I'd love to do Splatoon but that's just unrealistic!!
