HMD means Head Mounted Display.

 

Could this be a hint as to what the revolutions next secret is or is it just a quirky item in Animal Crossing. It's definitely not your everyday typical item like train models, Umbrellas and NES games. Virtual head sets aren't really even thought about in everyday life. Thats why i find this funny. Who would have just got the idea to put Virtual reality headsets as a fashion item in animal crossing? Why VR? I smell a hint.
