Jimbob Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I use Windows Live Essentials, mainly the Mail program. Up until yesterday it was working fine. No issues at all. But, since i shut down the computer last night and re-booted this morning, i can't open the Mail client anymore. I have looked on the internet for solutions, and have tried them all with no luck. I have tried Disabling the Internet Security Package and re-installing Mail Run a repair of the programs Uninstalled and re-installed the package Ran a system scan Run an Anti-Malware/Spyware scan A System restore Ran the program as an Administrator All of the above have failed to get the program to work again. Plus, i can't get into Gmail due to my account(s) being hacked and deleted and Google being as helpful as a faulty lifebelt. I'm planning on giving up and attempt to get Mozilla Thunderbird going again for my client. Any solutions/fixes i can try before i give up on the Windows Live Mail program Oh, almost forgot. I am using Windows 7 Premium 64bit, Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and Live Essentials 2011.
Emasher Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Have you checked for Windows updates recently?
Jimbob Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 (edited) Have you checked for Windows updates recently? I have yes, the only update is an audio codec from RealTec. Quick update. Managed to get Outlook going, somehow Thunderbird doesn't like WLM. Using a connector pack, which is going slow. Probably due to the number of emails i have. Edited February 28, 2011 by Jimbob
