The Governments recent agreement that all UK residents should have access to 2mb broadband speeds is rather disappointing. We're just short of 2mgs, and with new technologies emerging, it seems we'll still be left behind. Since that announcement, i've heard a bit on 'community broadband projects'- sounds very interesting but finding info on them is not easy. Does anyone have experience of these projects? Residents pay for their own exchange upgrade? Or we purchase our own line? I never even knew it was possible, but if it is i'm definitely interested!
