Formatting primary hard drive without xp disc

How would i go about doing this? I found this link but it says only do this if you are installing a full new retail version of xp which is not what im doing. I just want it blank. Cheers

You can get a Linux Live CD with a formatting and partitioning program called GParted on it here:

And this will allow me to format the hard drive even though its nothing to do with linux?

 

Edit: I dont know why i didnt think of this before. Already got the program on a memory stick which il just boot from. Cheers anyway mate
