system_error Posted November 20, 2005 Share Posted November 20, 2005 Alright it is my 4th year at university and now I finally decided to buy a laptop because all those work groups and stuff are much easier with a mobile computer. Now I thought if I buy one now I want to have quite some power, a great display and of course WiFi and stuff. I don't care much about battery power because it holds about 2 hours which is more than enough for me and if not I simply plug it in. I heard from friends that they are quite happy with their Fujitsu-Siemens notebooks and after some research I found one which fits: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 3438 17" shiny Widescreen display 2.0GHz Pentium-M 2 x 512MB DDR Ram (533MHz) - 2 slots can be upgraded to 2 x 1024MB 2 x 80GB (Raid 0 hehe) Geforce 6800 Go 256MB Ram 4 x USB 2.0 Intel Centrino WLan stuff A laptop bag Remote control I took a rather powerfull one because I still want to play a few games and all the software I need for university hungers for memory (I hate JAVA). Furthermore I want to be able to keep it for a few years and that means I might have to switch to Windows Vista.
