Ice9 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I just reformatted my hard drive (finally!) and everything seems to have gone well. However when i move a window or scroll downwards in a window the image breaks and slowly changes the whole screen. It reminds me of a really poor computer with too much going on, however it was all fine before and i can see no reason why it would do this. Its very annoying, anyone got any ideas?
Raining_again Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 have you got all the drivers installed again?
Guest Offerman Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Sounds like your graphics drivers are indeed not installed, or incorrectly installed.
craig Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 It could also be to do with Solar flares or static build up. Always remember to wear an anti-static wrist strap when reinstalling Windows.
Raining_again Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Always remember to wear an anti-static wrist strap when reinstalling Windows. is it just me that doesn't get that?
craig Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 is it just me that doesn't get that? :awesome: It's probably just me. Years ago when I was just starting as a pc techie my boss would always moan that I was not wearing an ESD wrist strap even when doing something trivial like checking a ide cable, so it became a running joke about wearing them.
Raining_again Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 but when you reinstall windows you dont need to open the computer and touching a radiator usually does the job btw
Ice9 Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 Ok I got the latest nVidia drivers and its all fixed. Thanks everyone for the help.
