Looking for a pair of headphones...

Recommended Posts

So.

My dog ate another pair of my headphones.

I do not want in-ear headphones because i find them uncomfortable, bud headphones because i find they always bloody fall out, headphones because they look stupid.

The pair i used to have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRQ66-Over-Type-Black/dp/B0007TBJWM/ref=pd_sim_ce_1_img/203-3616947-4200755?ie=UTF8&qid=1183224609&sr=1-142

Were great, but aren't noise cancelling and are kinda expensive.

I really can't decide what to buy, any help much appriciated.

Thanks!!

I would recommend the seinheiser brand. The quality is fantastic with them.

They are. I really like the ear bud ones, but they have that annoying one wire longer than the other thing going on.

I bought these about half a year ago.

Sound quality is wonderful, the only problem is that you can hear the flaws in lower resolution music. Game audio is very good, especially FPS for positioning. The headphones are open as well, so sound is more natural. Can't beat the quality of the headphones, especially at this price.

From personal experiences with the sennheisers I would recommend any here

If you dog keeps eating them XD I would go for the cheap and cheerful CX300, ok on the bass notes and not as tinny as one would assume from in ear.

The CX300 comes with 3 different sizes from small to large so you should be able to find one which is comfortable.

From a complete lack of experience with them but looking at them fits the description.

The sound quality is awesome, better than the sound from my £330 Samsung Stereo and my £[...] TV

for 20 quid? Yes please!

Edit PX200 for 26 quid! *I want to see your dog eat those!*

Problem with those: Pretty bulky, i couldn't put them in my pocket and they're not noise cancelling...

hmm with noise cancelling you can have an additional unit like thing (which generates your destructive super imposing waves) and that is just extra baggage imo.

In ear buds are a cheap mans form of noise cancelling, which works wonders for taking the noise away since it is literally in your ear! CBeing closer to the ear also means that you dont need to have it as loud and thereby more battery!

I've decided to take the plunge (and after using some crappy Sony inner ear ones, i've change my mind abit) and buy these.

Those are the ones I use (except mine are white), they're really good headphones and are actually really comfortable. I usually hate inner ear ones as well. I tried my moms iPod headphones the other day and it just made me realise how utterly turd they are.
