david.dakota Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 We've been having a great deal of problems with our Tiscali Broadband speed. Downloads have suddenly started to take 3 or 4 times the usual length of time, and online gaming - Nintendo DS - throws us out as soon as we connect and register opponents. I've managed to find an online speed check which states our download speed is 232 k/ps and upload is 183 k/ps. This is from a 2M broadband service (apparently). I'm nt too fluent in comparing Meg with k/ps... are we receiving an extremely slow service judging by these figures?
Charlie Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Tiscali fair usage.... I had them for a while and every evening from about 6pm the speeds were almost as bad as 56k. There's nothing you can do other than change to a good provider. Phone up and cancel as ASAP. The downtime you'll get from changing provider is more than worth it to get away from them.
