Garden_Pigeon Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Hey, My street doesn't have cable (grr) so I'm on an ADSL 2mb line, is there a faster ADSL line and can anyone recommend a good Tariff-thing? Thanks.
Bogbas Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 The ADSL speed you can get depends on the provider's equipment and how far away you are from it. Modern DSL providers can provide up to 24Mb (or 28 can't remember) connections. But the range of those is quite limited I think. It really depends on where you live. You should check what different ISP's are offering there. And what's so bad about a 2Mb line? I have 512k at the moment and it's fast enough.
Garden_Pigeon Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 My Dad uses the internet alot to download and slows down my speed. I need a faster internet so we can share.
Jackster Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 You could check out some providers who have unbundled you exchange, i.e https://www.bethere.co.uk/ . These normally provide services which are fast than what you can get through a provider who goes through BT.
