  1. So, that's it for another bi-monthly voting session, and with that it's clear to see that ....

    1. Untitled Goose Game [0]
    2. The Messenger          [4]
    3. Outlast                        [0]
    4. Mutant Mudds             [1]
    5. Pilotwings (SNES)      [1]
    6. Turok                          [1]

The Messenger ... a winner is you!

I've anticipated the result being so, and have started the game a week ago to get ahead of the push to finish it before the end of August.

We'll be recording the PodPals (The Messenger) episode on the first Sunday in September, which happens to be the 6th.

And, we'll love it if you all would share your experiences of what makes the game great or downright annoying (if you're that way inclined), especially true of @drahkon who finished it a long time ago.  Would love to hear your thoughts on the game.

Thanks to all who participate.  Let's get gaming together!

  2. Day 30 - Personal Gaming Tradition

Having a record of selling everything I own, it’s been hard for certain games to become a tradition. Link to the Past, I’ve played the most, but hardly a tradition.

More recently, every morning I have a quick blast of Tetris 99 in bed to wake up the brain cells, it never works.

Also did a bit of sprucing up of the channel and added Londragon to the featured channels list.

Will look into that Featured Channels, didn't know about it, but thanks, will return the favour when I get it working.

[Let’s Play: Together] Metal Slug X (Complete)

Old Nintendo Gamer & Son use copious amounts of credits to plough through the entire classic coin-op blaster.
That worked much better than the original even though it all had the same settings???

  4. Wow, just had my first Content ID Claim that shut down one of my videos (Edith Finch Part 4).  It includes an excerpt of 'The Nutcracker, Op. 71, Act II, Scene 3 : No. 13 Waltz of the Flowers', and WMG, KM Records took umbrage and shut the video down.  Wankers, haha.

Anyway, YouTube has a tool that can apparently silence the music only and leave everything intact.  That'll teach 'em if it works.

  5. I played through 2 classics this weekend gone, with my son, and the first of endeavours was Metal Slug.

Not happy that the in game sound came out quite heavy compared to our voices this time, but live and learn.

  7. Unless there's some sort of late surge out of nowhere, The Messenger is looking a dead cert at the moment.

  8. Right, had my think and it's going to be The Messenger for me.

Here's the voting as it stands currently.

  9. Day 23 - Licensed Video Game

Great picks so far. South Park is just like the cartoon, humour is brilliant, hard not to pick it. Rogue Leader, nothing I’ve played comes close to making me feel like I’m flying an X-Wing.

However, Goldeneye 007 just pips them to the post due to the sheer number of hours put into it.

  10. [Lee Plays] What Remains of Edith Finch (Part 2)

Old Nintendo Gamer presses on through the house, Edie’s Room, Calvin’s Room, and finally Barbara’s Room.

Got my first Copyright Claim on this video.  About 17 minutes in there's a 30 second snippet from John Carpernter's Halloween.  John wants all the money from this video because of it, greedy bastard, plus that equates to zero.

  11. Slowly wrapping my head around it. Still not sure why the game sometimes says that I need specific tiles but when they show up nothing happens. Maybe it's because I don't actually have a Yaku but the game still thinks I would win with those needed tiles?

I think it’s a glitch. I play Mahjong often enough to understand the rules. I’ve come across circumstances where I could easily win and it won’t let me. I’ve taken screenshots and showed them to others I play with, and they agree it was a win situation, so I take it the game is broken in some circumstances.

  12. Pushing the missions along a bit further in Borderlands: GOTY Edition (Part 5).

And if anyone is interested in seeing what Friday the 13th: The Game is like. This video pretty much encompasses the basics of how to be a survivor. Weapons, traps, locking doors, dying, whoops.
