  1. User Image Gallery

Like Dylan Moran in Black Books
  2. What have you won?

I won a photography competition when I was about 8 and got my photo in the Oxford Mail (woo, and might I also add hoo.) Although I can't actually remember what I won. I also once one a mug from a radio phone in version of Play your Cards Right.
  3. Goldfrapp

Yeah, Goldfrapp are good, I haven't got any albums, but I could quite happily sit and listen to them. Saw them at Glasto couple of years back. Alison Goldfrapp decided to play a synthesizer with her crotch, it was.... interesting.
  4. Murder on MySpace

woah.... crap, this is real, I thought it was some wind up, or some murder mystery thing created online through myspaces. My faith in humanity is shaken once again.
  5. Sorry

Quite alright, to be honest I just found the whole thing a hilarious read. As for this topic I'd give it 2 hours before lockage.
  6. $1 to the Animal Protection Institute

Done and done. If it helps out, it's worth while, despite the obvious advertising. Well done Nintendo.
  7. Mashups!

My sisters mate did a pretty awesome mashup of Nivanas Smells like Teen Spirit and Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. He called it smells like pre-teen spirit
  8. Remains of "Godzilla" Crocodile found.

On with my geologist hat: The use of Carbon 14 in radiometric dating is not often used in Geology and Palaeontology due to the isotopes short halflife of 5,700 years, meaning over a period of millions of years the amount of parent isotope would be difficult to measure, however this isotope is useful for archeologists of recent human remains. More commonly geologists use parent-daughter isotopes of Uranium238- Lead206 (halflife 4,498 Milion years), Uranium235- Lead207 (halflife 713 Million years) or Potassium40 to Argon40 (halflife 1,260 million years.) Fossils can also be relatively dated through the examination of the stratigaphy in which the fossils was discovered, which can give clues as to the age and environment of the fossil linking it to an era in geological time.
  9. TV/Movie/Shoe problem

Know what you mean about inaccuracies in movies and T.V. when it comes to real life. Frankly I'm usually barefoot (like now) or in slippers when indoors. A thing which annoys me sometimes in movies is how no-one ever goes off to the toilet unless it has something to do with the plot. The only film I can think of, off hand, where this doesn't happen is in Pulp Fiction, John Travolta is aways wandering off to the toilet.
  10. Happy! Happy! Happy!

I know it's sad, but I still get really excited when the Universal music comes on before a film at a cinema.
  11. For those of you who like puzzles...

Got to level 6. but now I'm stumped. Been trying various things with google, but got nothing.
  12. broken news

Had me laughing a few times, but the way it bounced about with the editing like a hyperactive toddler on too many sherbert fountains irritated me after a while. Prefer The Day Today for a spoof news program, it's old but still hellishly funny.
  13. Indifferent! Indifferent! Indifferent!

I'm pretty indifferent to Little Britain. I watched a few episodes, thought it was alright but nothing special. It gets a little repetative after a while, a bit like the Fast Show before it. Yet it seems that many people think it is the absolute pinnacle of comedy genius (Richard and Judy I'm looking strongly in your direction). I don't know, and frankly I'm not too bothered. Agreed, I'm frankly not buying the whole 'OH MY GOD, WE'RE ALL DOOMED' scenario being peddled by the media. I'm still slightly worried, but altogether bothered.
  14. Starving for the Xbox360

Yeah a job would be easier, but it would also be less humourous for the rest of us to watch. Good luck on your crazy mission *salutes*
  15. A Recipie for Sucess

Super noodle on toast works quite well, especially the chiken ones. Just make sure you drain the juices first or you get soggy bread. For a very healthy quick snack though get a lettace some peppers and some tomato's (shouldn't be more then a pound), some mayonaise and some form of meat such as tuna, salami, ham, turkey or chicken. Mix all together in a bowl and you have a tasty salad. You can even put that on toast.
  16. My school books are ruined

Heh, that exact same thing happend to me once. Don't worry, mouldy banana doesn't stick too much so it should just wipe off the books and the inside of the bag. As for the smell try one of those nutralising air sprays or something.
  17. A Recipie for Sucess

Take Tesco Value baked beans (full of goodness) and some cheap bread. I the bread is slightly stale just put it in the microwave for a second or two. Then toast the bread, cook the beans, et voila a slightly nutritious meal for less then a pound. Alternativly if your looking for something very unhealthy, yet full of energy, take 3/4 of a block of butter, a small bag of sugar, a tin of condensed milk and 1/2 a cup of water, add altogether in a pan and leave to simmer for a while. After 5-10 minutes stir mixture hard. When the mixture is light brownish, the sugar crystals are no longer visible and the mixture turns into a small ball when dropped in cold water remove from pan and leave to set in a tray overnight. Hopefully you will end up with a crumbly fudge like substance known as tablet. Enjoy
  18. Rate your meal revived!

Last meal. a rather uninspiring lasagne done in a microwave. It gave me extremely bad indigestion as well, so I give it a 2/10
  19. HOBBIES

Haven't really got much in the way of hobby, although recently I have been trying out caving and climbing and such like. It's very good fun and good exercise, but the downside is it's fairly expensive.
  20. The Anti-LOL Campaign

I shun the use of the lol, much prefer a good heh as it more accurately represents the minor exhalation of air that comes with me witnessing a humourous comment on the internet.
  21. Raped by a dog

Heh, I watched a program ages ago (probably on channel 5) which had some story similar to this where a woman in America was raped by a dog when she 'accidently' fell over in front of it.
  22. Injuries

Got hit by a car about a year- year and a half ago. Luckily it was outside a hospital and the car wasn't going to fast, managed to get away with a few stiches about the place.
  23. Official Neighbours Topic

Something bad has definately happend to Izzy, considering the amount of times it's been mentioned recently that she has gone missing/ not answering phone. Whether Paul has dragged her off for silencing or not I'm not too sure.
  24. What is your ethnic background?

One set of Grandparents were from Ireland, then buggered off to Glasgow to set up home, which as chance would have it is where my Dad is from. The other set of Grandparents were English, but went and set up home in Shetland, which is were my Mum is from (but brought up in Manchester). There you have my recent family history in a nutshell.
  25. Bird-Flu-Me-Do!

If bird flu really does happen then I'm buggering off to Shetland. Its my back up plan for any emergency as nothing ever reaches there (sorry Sarka, but it's true)
