The only participant was Haden who actually got it almost spot on anyway with his guess of 3-2 to Federer with 44-56 possession. The actual result was 2-1 (to Federer) with 48-52% possession.

N-Euro Middle League Report: Round Three

    bob 0-7 Madpool

bob's bad season continues with the tables being turned on them once again as they are on the receiving end of an onslaught of goals. Madpool's 5-man midfield was rated at 13 while bob's was a meager 5 with just 2 players lost in a swarm of red shirts. Philippe Coutinho scored first in the 5th minute, assisting another soon after which was scored by Lucas Leiva. Coutinho set one more up in the 12th minute for Spence Monk. There were nearly 10 whole minutes for bob's team to catch their breath before the next goal was scored by Leiva again in the 21st minute.

Coutinho set up a further two goals before the first half was over, scored by Tyrone Osbourne and Miles Dunderdale with Reggie Hales scoring between them. All of Madpool's 13 chances were made in the first half of the match and bob failed to possess the ball outside of their own half. It's not a good day to be a bob fan but hopefully the manager will retain his confidence and optimism.

    Atlético Aqui1a 2-1 AC Elites

Elites searched for an early lead and Scottie Pratchett found it for them, scoring in the 9th minute of the game. Elites' lead could've been short-lived as Isler stepped up to take a penalty in the 16th minute but fumbled the opportunity. Some rumours are emerging that the manager is putting too much pressure on the striker! In the 36th minute Isler succumbed to fatigue and young forward, Ryan Upson, stepped in to the crowd's delight. In the 50th minute Upson delivered his fan service, scoring from a header with all the appropriate swagger.

It was looking to be a draw despite overall dominance by Atlético with 8 chances racked up against Elites' 1 but in the 92nd minute Atlético had a last attempt on goal which led to a goal from Graham Parman!

    Kippen FC 2-0 AFC Dedede

Dedede held Kippen back well, limiting their opponents to just two chances in the game while creating two of their own but the overwhelming power of KFC was too much and Kippen scored from both of their chances. Dedede's poor luck started with an injury in the 18th minute, forcing them to switch out young for old as Brydon comes on for Calderoni. Kippens supremacy began with a goal scored by Willy MacEllar in the 31st minute. Moving into the second half, the game was dragging as neither side could gain an advantage but in the 69th minute Graham Watts goofed for Kippen FC and scored an own goal! But wait, the ref's disallowed it due to a foul! Spurred on by this near-miss, Kippen launced into another offensive resulting in another attempt on goal. Innecenzio Riccio finds Willy MacEllar in the box who takes a shot.... gooooaaaal! Kippen win 2-0!

Russian Revolution 1-2 The Roger Federer Crew

Revolution take an early lead thanks to a penalty which was scored by Veríssimo Encarnação in the 9th minute but Federer locked them down again in the 11th minute with a goal from Freire Lajes. Federer would've gone ahead in the 23rd minute but Freire Lajes had his second goal disallowed. It was only a matter of time until Federer would go ahead with them having more possession and creating more chances and in the 69th minute Cristoph Figni beat the keeper to make it 2-1.

The Familia FC 4-2 Leeds M.O.T

Another disallowed goal this round and right at the start of the game meaning it hurt all the more when Familia went 1-0 up from a freekick in the 22nd minute which was scored directly by Rupert Bachmann. Leeds let out their frustration by injuring a couple of Familia players in the 29th and 35th minutes before finally scoring for real in the 41st minute with a goal from Kristijan Pispek. Familia went ahead again straight away with a goal from Augustin Ekedahl in the 50th minute and Sverrir Pedersen made sure to score one more in the 59th minute before Leeds could retalliaite. Sure enough, Leeds did get another goal thanks to Mansour Heidari in the 64th minute but with a goal's lead, Familia had the confidence to reach for more and Francois Auffret got their final goal in the 72nd minute.

Most Valuable Player - Philippe Coutinho, Madpool

Fan Favourites - The Familia FC vs Leeds M.O.T

Manager of the Round - Roger Federer, The Roger Federer Crew

  3. I think I remember that now you mention it, tough break!

Disappointing 0-0 draw away to Silverdale today. 7 chances for his 1 (I think 5 were freekicks!) and a disallowed goal. Should've been 1-0 or more but Silverdale's keeper played to 17 and shut everything out. I had 3 players play to 14 but none of them had a shot on goal, they would've been my best chance but still wouldn't have scored for certain. Well done Rowan, your keeper is a beast!

  4. Dat feel when 5 and 7. Number 8, too.

I read something yesterday that killed me. It was similar to that list, but the entry read something along the lines of: "When you make a sound that sounds like a fart, but isn't actually one. So, you repeatedly make that same sound (or try to) over and over again to make it obvious to the people nearby that it, indeed, wasn't a fart."

This method is risky as it may lead others to believe you have some seriously bad wind...

  5. Did you know that AC and Winston have the same number of 12+ skilled players in their squads? And yet the pussycats lie 2nd in Elite League whilst AC labour in 4th spot of the middle league. The difference? Heart, fighting spirit, and the manager at the helm.

Brilliant work the reports so far @Haden and the mccoy interview is fantastic @Nikos9

Eights must be shitting themselves about friday given how poor they've been this season.

Thanks very m- oh. Oh wait.

    :p

Haha, no I'm very confident actually. You don't so confident on the other hand :p

Is is it normal in real football for players with red cards to be out for more than one match? Was just playing around with the line up and realized my striker youth still can't play. First game in his career, and the idiot is out for the next two >_>

I think they can be suspended for up to 5 games, I've had a fair few across my teams that were gone for 2 but never more than that thankfully!

  6. Spotlight

The spotlight competition this week was on Intergalactico Stars vs Eights United. Participants were to guess the result and number of players from this game that would make it into the X11. No one guessed for a draw so Haden wins as he correctly guessed there would be 5 players in the X11.

    Middle League Report: Round Two

The Roger Federer Crew 1-0 Leeds M.O.T

Leeds did well to hold Federer off in the first half even after a serious injury to their stand-out midfielder, Jonny HOwson but in the second half Federer broke into the lead. The first goal was scored in the 49th minute by Egon Fosatti and Federer maintained dominance for the rest of the match. Leeds only attempts on goal came in the second half which left Federer fans in baited breath but Leeds were unable to score.

    Kippen FC 7-0 bob

bob's fans are used to seeing lots of goals in their games but not usually all against them! Kippen FC walked all over bob this round with 10 chances to 2 and 7 goals to 0. Both Marcelo Galvão and Willy MacEllar scored two goals for Kippen with Gregorio Lazzarini, Marc McMoist and Seung-Joon Ja all scoring one goal each. This is a welcome victory for Kippen after their first round loss to Atlético while bob are stuck on one point from their home match against the Russians.

The Familia FC 2-3 AC Elites

Familia went into the match looking strong and dominated the midfield but Elites' strikeforce were on top form and were a danger every time they got the ball. Familia scored first with a goal from Petrica Milosevici in the 10th minute but Charlie Zell scored for Elites in the 19th minute to make it 1-1. Familia kept pushing and scored again in the 29th minute, this time Rupert Bachmann was the one to beat the keeper. The first half was very nearly up but Elites broke through for the second time in the 44th minute with Charlie Zell getting the second goal. Familia's players started to look tired in the second half after apparently going all out to get their 5 chances in the first half but Elites were biding their time and in the 76th minute, Scottie Pratchett scored the winning goal of the match for AC Elites!

    Madpool 2-3 Atlético Aqui1a

Atlético caused an upset in the pools this round by beating Madpool away from home but although the scores were close, Atlético were quite dominant in the game. Ferdi Isler scored from a freekick in the very first minute to put Atlético ahead from the start and Marlon Dujanic increased their lead after 18 minutes. Spence Monk kept Madpool in the game with a goal in the 21st minute and the excitement of the first half ended there. Atlético pushed further ahead in the second half with a goal from Dujanic again in the 59th minute but their line up was weakened in the 88th minute with defender, Gustavo Rocchi being sent off the pitch. Reggie Hales took a freekick for Madpool right after and Rocchi's absence was all too clear as the ball sailed directly into the net. Fortunately for Atlético the match was over 2 minutes later before Madpool could press the advantage.

    AFC Dedede 2-0 Russian Revolution

Dedede had a strong line up today and the results prove it. With 5 chances to 0, Dedede took full control of the game leaving Russian Revolution looking on in despair. Dedede kept things humble with a goal in each half, the first one being scored by Sol Ainsworth in the 28th minute and the second by Dara Dunn in the 62nd minute. Both teams went away with three bookings each which could cause trouble down the line but for now Dedede are looking like contenders for promotion while Revolution would be lucky to avoid relegation!

Most Valuable Player - Gregorio Lazzarini, Kippen FC

Fan Favourites - The Familia FC vs AC Elites

Manager of the Round - Ellmeister, AC Elites

  8. Well my team are out now. Even though we beat Greece 3-1 in my last game. That loss to Nigeria all but knocked us out last time. If I was less predictable in the match with Nigeria I might of made it through.

Still my team scored the most goals in our group. Only Germany scored more than us in the whole tournament so far.

I had fun might try out the main season at some point.

If you'd like to carry on playing you can apply to join an inactive team in our main league. Or if you'd prefer your own team from scratch you can wait until the next season (or join an inactive team at least until the current season ends) :)http://www.xperteleven.com/?lid=120161 there's the invite link if you're interested (you will have to resign from your current team first)

  9. @flameboy if you wanted to apply for one of the inactive teams in the n-e league the invite link is here: http://www.xperteleven.com/?lid=120161 you will have to resign from Ghana first or @Zell can inactive your team which should leave you free to join.

You should be able to apply to join Fake Team 1 or 2 (I recommend 2 as a more rounded team if you're looking to continue with the same team next season). You can rename the team but if you still want your own team from scratch next season that's fine too and you can either wait or you can leave whichever team you join and re-apply next season :)

  10. Just finished Season 2 and I've read all the posts here now (some of you are seriously judgemental lol). It was great to be able to watch the whole 2 seasons in the space of a week or so :D

So when is season 3 and when does The Flash start?

  11. Could still have been something wrong with the plane I guess. Until we know more we can't really blame it on terrorists... at the moment it's just speculation.

The head of the Russian Air Traffic Controllers' Union, Sergei Kovalyov, told BBC Russian that the airspace over eastern Ukraine had remained open during the conflict because the planes previously shot down had tended to be helicopters or low-flying fast jets.

"In order to bring down an airplane from an altitude of 10,000m, you need to have very serious weapons…. missiles," he said. "It's either a mistake or a terrorist act."

  12. If voice chat is included it's not going to be forced upon you. Most of the people saying they don't want voice chat seem to be against talking to random people online. What about those of us who want to talk with our friends while we enjoy the game together?

  13. Cube actually tampered with a lot of results, he's another player who did really well to send in targets every phase (I think he actually did send them every phase). I'll post it up later if I remember :p

I picked the tampered results at random

  14. A roleblocker, then a roleblocker.

I'm just a roleblocky kinda guy.

*roleblocked two people all game and only as mafia :indeed:

One thing that you guys wouldn't have noticed is that the targets were all instant. When I saw a PM that is when the action took place. On the night of EEVIL's death, Cube and EEVIL both sent their targets at the exact same time. Cube was falsifying EEVIL's results and EEVIL was truth detecting a post. EEVIL died so it ultimately didn't matter but Cube won the coin toss :p

It also meant that getting your target in early really did matter as you could track someone, get your result and then have something affect you like a roleblock. Or your target may receive protection after you've already reached them. This didn't really happen much except with Rummy who often was the first in with his target so was never held up.
