  1. Pookiablo's JSA Thread

I don't know the Bjork reference, I'm assuming it's an in-joke. Regardless, lighten the fuck up. So he's on JSA? Big deal, so are a lot of people, and I bet a lot of them are spending it on things they don't need. JSA is rightfully his and when he does get a job he'll pay it back with the tax he'll be paying for the rest of his life, so he can spend it on whatever the fuck he fucking wants. Disgusting, lol. Fuck off.
  2. Rock Revolution

Konami might have started this GuitarFreak/Hero phenomena, but they didn't bring it to the masses like Harmonix did with Guitar Hero. So, to keep the metaphor going, they started the bandwagon, left it, but jumped back on when someone else made it lucrative.
  3. GTA IV

Money and bitches and cocaine and impressionable teenagers' sense of right and wrong, too. lol
  4. PS3 or 360?

The Xbox 360 is the best gaming console since the N64. It's most probably better.
  5. Call of Duty: World at War

It's all rather up in the air about this game at the moment. Whether it's going to be developed by Treyarch, whether it's going to be set in WWII or not. Activision have said that it's going to be set in a different "military theater" than CoD4. Whether that means it's going to be set in a different "military theater" to CoD3, CoD2 and CoD and all it's other Big Red One thingymajiggles remains to be seen. However, I now realise that I really like saying "military theater". "Military theater". "Military theatre? No, military theater."
  6. GTA IV

Love this gaaame. I'm hoping they'll add some new stand-up comedians to the DLC. Can't see it happening, but it'd be all the awesomes and that.
  7. about that 2-3 times more powerful remark.....

Even if it is 'only' 2 to 3 times more powerful can you imagine: something 2 to 3 times better than that? Awesomeness defined.
  8. The Mighty Boosh

I've got the first series on DVD. "She's all over you like a flannel." Classic. And The Hitcher is genius, with his massive thumb for playing bass. "You're loving it you slags!"
  9. family guy

Meh. 4 seasons is better than a kick in the balls. And I shat myself for nothing. Thanks a bunch.
  10. Your top 5 songs of the moment

Oh, and Mystery Jets - You Can't Fool Me, Dennis. Such a class song. Edit: Yes, I know that makes 6 selections. What of it? Wannafightaboudit?
  11. family guy

Season … season 5? I think I've just shat myself.
  12. this generation's best games?

Yeah, that joke doesn't really work via text, does it?
  13. family guy

Family Guy is t3h 4w3s0m3. All the light-bulbs get blown out and the house is plugned into total darkness. Peter: Don't worry, Lois. If you're afraid of the dark I'll hold you close. Chris: Um, dad, that's me. Peter: Go to your room. Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.
  14. A Tad Premature, Perhaps?

Take a gander at this fine bit of picturement: Yes, yes, it is a bit good, is it not? But look closer, closer still … can you see it? No. You cannot as it is not there. What am I blabbering on about, you ask? There is not a Revolution logo in sight. It seems that Nintendo are still dithering about just what the bladdy hell they are going to call the machine. They are still referring to it as Codename: Revolution, after all. One hopes that this site has not been a little premature in naming itself after a codename. It might not be too bad, they could still keep the name 'Revolution.' So, in light of this Revolution revelation, what do you think they will call the machine, if not Revolution, that is? Do you think the name it has now will suffice, or can you think of a better one? Is Revolution a little big-headed, perhaps? Is it a little too much to live up to?
  15. Do you mean besides the obvious, like Mario, Zelda and Metroid and the like? I feel this needs to pointed out otherwise you'd just get every other person saying 'Zelda.'
  16. this generation's best games?

^It's a good game but I wouldn't say it was the best of this generation. Far from it, in fact. 8/10.
  17. Trevor McDonald is bullshit.

This thread fits in really well with Radiohead's Idioteque. "We're not scaremongering, This is really happening, it's happening. […] Who's in the bunker? Who's in the bunker?" Athriller's in the bunker.
  18. Industry Response: Revolution Controller

I bought a new PS2 controller not long ago and the shoulder buttons squeak as you press them and the plastic feels cheap and fragile. Shoddy!
  19. Industry Response: Revolution Controller

No, you're thinking of Bungie. Shiny made Enter the Matrix. Now you can laugh.
  20. Your top 5 songs of the moment

    1. Radiohead - A Wolf At The Door 2. Sub Pop Sunday - Come N Get What You From Me 3. Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor 4. Bloc Party - Two More Years 5. Foo Fighters - Another Round
  21. A Tad Premature, Perhaps?

Yes, it looks like they revised the buttons before releasing the photos. It seems they were going to have 'X' and 'Y' buttons with 'a' and 'b' printed next to them (presumably for the NES functionality of the controller). Nintendo are an enigmatic bunch, are they not?
  22. this generation's best games?

GTA: San Andreas Resident Evil 4 And, inevitably: Zelda: Twilight Princess
  23. The best console this generation.

Whatever. Halo is better than Halo 2 in more ways than one, the Assault Rifle was an awesome weapon … the Battle Rifle is a bit meh, as are the SMGs. Even holding two at a time isn't as good as one Assault Rifle. The Flood are cack in Halo 2, as well. They don't feel half as satisfying to kill as they did in Halo, but again, that probably boils down to the weapons. It was awesome to pick off distant parasites with the pistol, then when they bunched together, you'd get out the Assault Rifle and spray bullets at them pausing momentarily to smack the crap out of the ones that lunged at you. That felt so cool. Another thing about Halo 2 that annoyed me is that you can't melee with one weapon without dropping the other one. What's that all about? Oh, and Halo actually has an ending worthy of its gameplay. Only just escaping the planet before it explodes? Yes, please! Halo 2 ends just as it's getting good. Of course, it means Halo 3 is going to be awesome, but Halo 2 was disappointing. I still think it's a damn fine game, and that level with the tank on the bridge? Pure class.
  24. The best console this generation.

Yes, they were unbalanced, but nowhere near as unbalanced as the guns in Halo 2. No one uses the pistols anymore, they're that crap, even the rifles are scarcely used. It's all about the Plasma Sword now, as that is a one-hit kill with the R button lunge attack. That's a seriously unbalanced game right there.
  25. The best console this generation.

Your point being? Yes, the graphics in Halo are inferior, but at least they loaded up when they needed to. This is especially evident in the cut-scenes Halo 2. It ruins the experience. Not only that, but the guns in Halo are far, far better than the guns in Halo 2.
