Saving pictures from the Wii to an SD Card...
SINFIELD replied to SINFIELD's topic in Nintendo Gaming
well thanks for clearing it up...cheers -
Can anyone help me? I've recently received a few pictures sent from another Wii console but I would like to get them put on my PC. I know that you can't send pictures to email addresses via the Wii but is there anyway of saving the pictures onto my SD card and transfer them that way? Thanks SINFIELD

HAPPY NEW WII EVERYONE!!!! IT'S THE 8TH DECEMBER!!! It seems so long ago since the Revolution was announced, and all those hours of waiting to see the New Controller!! All those different designs? The VR Helmet Mockup!! WELL HERE IT IS!!!! Hope everyone has a cracking day (I don't mean television screens...hold onto that wiimote!!) All the best!!! SINFIELD
-
It must have been madness yesterday and today!! 25 MINUTES TO GO!!!
-
 Who's is that depot? It looks exactly like my order!!! hahaha! I can't wait for now!!!
-
I ordered from gameplay too and have had my Wii, Zelda and Red Steel dispatched today. Haven't got an email though...but I think it's because my order also included an extra Wiimote. Therefore the order isn't totally complete, yet the other items have been shipped (Gameplay taking only enough money for the 3 items they have dispatched). Not sure how many extra separate Wiimotes they must have received in, as I would imagine I was pretty high on the list having got my order in less than 20 mins after the preorder open email was sent out on the 26th September!! Pays off to get it done early mind!

I'm also waiting on the following to be changed from 'Being Picked' with Gameplay: Wii Zelda: Twilight Princess Red Steel Also ordered an extra wiimote which hasn't changed from "Preordered - Estimate Between: 06/12/2006 - 07/12/2006" I think we'll have to wait until about 7-8pm tonight before there is any change though, think thats about the time they got altered last night. I'm sure it'll arrive tomorrow...although christmas seems along time to wait before opening anything!! hahaha

Gameplay console orders are dispatched via next day courier I'm sure, so if it gets dispatched sometime today...it should be with you for tomorrow.

LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO!!!!
-
Oh my lord!!! There seems to be a be a big £300 quid taken from my account too  Looks as though Gameplay have finally taken their fair share, QUOTE ME HAPPY!!!
-
Yeah I'm the same, preordered mine on the 26/09/2006 from Gameplay and the status has recently changed to 'Being Picked', despatched 'Today' on: Nintendo Wii + Wii Sports Zelda: Twilight Princess Red Steel Still waiting on the Extra Wiimote to change, but that can wait if necessary ;o) Just so glad I caught the "Wii Preorders now open!" email very early!!! (24 mins, hahaha!) As long as everyone gets there preorder before Xmas!!!
-
I preordered my Wii with Gameplay including: Zelda: Twilight Princess RedSteel Extra Wiimote I managed to get my preorder and receive confirmation via email within 24 minutes of them sending the "Wii Preorders Now Open" email back on the 26/09/2006. So hopefully i should be edging the top of the list. I also got one of those emails about a week ago saying I've successfully got my preorder in and that I'll have one for launch day. However, I haven't yet had any money taken and there is no change to my despatch date on the account, which is set to 06/12/2006 OR 07/12/2006. I'm sure the status will change very soon though Even if it does come early Friday morning...I'm still having it sent back home, to be wrapped for the big day on the 25th How exciting will Christmas be this year!!! A Nintendo Xmas just like when I got my NES/SNES/N64

MAGIC!!! Thanks...I should have looked at that before...Naughty Mii!

I was wondering if anybody can confirm that the wireless module within the Nintendo Wii is infact Wireless G. I know there are a few problems with connecting the Nintendo DS with belkin routers as the DS only supports B, and configuring some belkin routers to limit the wireless connection speed to allow the DS to connect to the WFC is very difficult, if not impossible. If the Wii turns out to be Wireless G compatible...this should hopefully stamp out these problems and allow the Wii to connect to the network with relative ease :-) Thanks for any help in advance, Sinfield

yeah I must admit that C&C generals and zero hour didn't interest me much with the total change in story line and lack of plot. However, EA have now seemed to have brought back the whole GDI and NOD thing, reintroduced the original Kane, brand new Hollywood actors (including James "Sawyer" Ford from Lost) and brought back all the old style units and build mechanisms. We'll have to see if it matches up to the Westwood way of game play though...which i truly loved!! I also the following post on http://www.gonintendo.com today which seems to hint that nintendo may be thinking of later expansion to the console during its lifetime: The Wii HD rumors continue November 21st, 2006 I have been trying to steer clear of these rumors, but they just keep coming back. I feel it is a good idea to make mention of them before things blow up even more. Rumors continue to circulate that the Wii will see an HD update sometime in its lifespan. Nintendo will not confirm/deny this, but they have been making some interesting statements. First up is a portion of a Reggie Fils-Aime interview from USA Today. We posted on this a few days ago. “Tough choices about not including a DVD player at the start, tough choices about not including high-definition capability at the start. That’s because we wanted a mass-market price, and we believe the market will validate those decisions come launch day on this Sunday.†Now Game Informer got in touch with Nintendo to discuss this comment, and a Nintendo rep answered with this statement. “(paraphrasing) Microsoft was able to patch the Xbox 360 to support 1080p. After all, Nintendo has already released a patch to allow Wii gamers to transfer game saves to SD cards.†Make of that what you will. Who knows what the Big N will do in the future. They may not even know themselves. interesting read i must admit!! But I think Nintendo have done the right thing in leaving HD support out for the meantime, especially in Europe...because the current price for HD technology is still very expensive.

Yeah I suppose your right in terms of requiring a hard drive and more processing power, however i do think the accuracy of the Wii mote is more than sufficient to play RTS strategy titles on the console e.g. Raid over the River IF IT'S POSSIBLE EA....GIVE US C&C 3 :awesome: http://www.ea.com/commandandconquer/
-
Is it just me, or does anyone else think the the new C&C 3 : Tiberium Wars game was born to be played on the Wii? ) I know that EA have confirmed that it will be available on the XBox 360 but I'm not sure whether the Wii would be capable in terms of graphics processing power in order to port the game across. Can't wait to get my hands on Red Steel and Zelda:TP....not long now!!! ) SINFIELD

Nintendo Wii growing on me!! (Hey that rhymes!)
SINFIELD replied to SINFIELD's topic in Nintendo Gaming
:-D sorry if you thought there was no need for the thread...but just thought I'd express the fact that altough the initial reaction was one of shock, think the name is overall a good choice and one that actually symbolises the system -
Over the last couple of days....the new name has been given a "LOT" of stick. However, reading articles and looking through interviews now....the name 'Wii' has really grown on me :-D I'm starting to think that the new name has given the console that little bit more attention that will s urely increase the number of potential people that will actually take note of E3 to see what this innovative new Wii business is all about! Smart move Nintendo!
-
IF NINTENDO CAME UP WITH THE NAME....WHO ARE Wii TO ARGUE? For years they have provided awesome games, new gaming innovations and years of fun! When your sitting there throwing your arms about having the time of your life, interacting with the likes of Mario and Zelda like you have never done before...you won't even think about what its called! I can't wait....I want it now....Bring on E3!!! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!
-
That is a fair point, i think that will be overlooked post E3 though. Any name other than the 'revolution' that we have grown to love over the past year was blatently going to get a bit of stick though.

I personally think the name Wii is a great name. I'm don't know what the fuss is all about. At the end of the day, its a brand name that represnts what the console stands for....just like Apple's iPod (what a failure that was!!). I think its a fantastic move by nintendo to pull itself away from the likes of the Playstation 3 (WHAT AN INNOVATIVE NAME!!!) and the XBox 360 (that seems to have aged 259 interations in 1 generation....wow, it MUST be good!) who have thrown lots of heavy hardware specs into 1 box...boast a bit of HD technology....which costs about a £1000 pounds to by a half decent tv for at the moment anyway....so there you have it £1300 for a nice new home console....whooppie doo!! Nintendo have taken the time to think about what the consumer wants from games....I'd much prefer better interaction with a game and feel like i'm in the environment than lots of eye candy video effects....and probably costing under the £200 barrier at launch, they're onto a win!! So I personally can't wait to see what innovatations the big N has planned for the Wii at E3. Happy Days for Nintendo....Just waiting to pre order!! Sinfield

Give them a chance.....ZELDA DS?!?
