Liverpool threw it away in the second half when Klopp decided to take off Henderson for another centre-back. They lost control of the midfield and allowed Spurs to grow into the game.

However, I think Spurs have been extremely lucky with the decisions today. The first penalty is definitely not a penalty and the second one is highly debatable. I don't mind as it worked out pretty well for United today, but still. :D

I don’t think they threw it away, we dominated the whole second half way before Henderson went off. And they were both certain penalties. Very weird you think one wasn’t and one debatable... did you see them? 🤣 But yeah, good result for you I guess. Or maybe not if we both finish above you. How do you feel about Man U?

  2. yeah, all 3ds and wii u content, lose the board game mode, have smash run as an online mode; add in a single player mode.

Splatoon, Arms Labo to have character or /adn stages. Labo stage, but maybe even the robot form it would be awesome, then classics like Ice Climbers.

I actually think a great thing they could do, is maybe don't have extra characters and stages at launch, but then every month for a year, they release a new character and stage; really keep momentum up, keep people paying for online etc.

Welcome back to the football thread, Dazzy. Glad we could help Spurs stay in contention for the fourth place trophy. :)

Haha, thank you. Thought we were better than Liverpool today too, very promising. Smash Arsenal next week, three games I was scared about and I think we're guaranteed top 4!!

I think you’re correct but I enjoy being contrary.

It could theoretically happen along the same lines of PSN is still free for PS3 to play online. And possibly PSVita (really not sure on that). Of course that situation was completely different and Nintendo from the start explained their intentions of moving to a subscription service.

Yeah, it's like the 3DS will probably be still free to play online.

But the sooner we know EVERYTHING about this service the better

I can answer both questions with one answer, budget. I don't make a lot of money, it's either internet or games. And what's the point in having internet with nothing to play?

It's generally why I don't actually buy games like Mario Kart and Splatoon. Gaming in my house is mostly single player based.

Fair enough, we all have to make those decisions in life. And if you can nip to Dcubed's and use his....

Not for someone who doesn't have an internet connection in their house. (I know I'm in a massive minority)

How do you not have the internet in your house?

Do you have a mobile phone and can use that?

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever they'll allow games released before to still be free, makes no sense whatsoever.

So...Kane was in our half before the ball was played at kick-off, therefore the goal shouldn't have stood. Piss poor defending, but still...can't wait for VAR to be used properly in every match.

    Also, Phil Jones. No words.

VAR wouldn't have been used in that instance.

Tottenham were really impressive, 2-0 was flattering for Man U who were really really poor. Pogba.... how come no one mentions they paid nearly 100m for this player? And lukaku  All the money Man U have spent and this is the team they have... Lots of great attacking talent, but no balance.

Aso, tactically, it was so surprised how much long ball football you played, seemed to be your only tactic, has that been common?

  8. It’ll be smash for switch like the Last naming. It’ll definitely based off wii u.  It have shit loads of new content. So pretty much new. An absolute cert.

i hope they release the “glfeatures” before that too. Surely there has to be a free trial of sorts of the service? Give us cloud saves and s better infrastructure and such a month or so before.

  9. Didn’t know this. Why the fuck is Celeste more expensive on the switch then on other platforms? Was going to buy it tonight. Tempted not to to now. ThesE companies disgust me.

It does seem odd that Labo is coming out before the online service is live. Come on Nintendo get your priorities sorted.

They don’t have one team going through a to-do list. I doubt labo has anything at all to do with their online service.

  11. But it’s not just cardboard - there’s elastic bands and reflective tape too :) these are feats of engineering though. Not easy to design. Is that not valuable? I think £10-20 cheaper would be perfect, but people keep saying £70 for some cardboard?!? Which is just a tad hyperbolic.

Also thonk its funny people saying bevause the switch is popular this is evidence they’re seeing this like the Wii now  like this could’ve all been designed branded and developed in a couple of months 🤣 And clearly why the camera was put in there...

  12. Not convinced a sample of one is a good test of whether the vides successful or not. I’ve read so many tweets and such of parents showing their children and them loving it.

My kid is 2.5. Bit too young.  Gutted. Though I think he’ll like watching me make it... YES HE WILL!!!!

  13. The more I think about it the more amazing I think it is. A tad too expensive, but ten the switch and it’s accessories are, but pretty incredible, and if Nintendo really will provide extra cardboard for mishaps and wear and tear then even better.

would be amazing if other games used the accessories, like more complex music and fishing games and such. And wonderful it he’ll release just cheap cardboard packs as peripherals for games - wheel for Mario kart, flight controller for star fox or whatever, just as an option. That’d be great, charge 5-10 for it, the videos can be built into the main software or even as a download. Keel costs down.

i have no idea if it’ll be successful or fuck me are Nintendo glorious.

  14. Excitement quickly turned to fear 🤣 I’m a kid at heart, but this still sounds a bit worrying. I just don’t want Nintendo to forget what made the switch so successful. The direct mini and now some kid focus isn’t s great start to 2018...

at £280 I’m not convinced it’s a “kids” device yet. And I’m not convinced the broader mainstream audience is there for dedicated devices. PS4 shows the industry is fine without it, the switches increcible first year has too.

Would be a shame for Nintendo to spoil the great first year by chasing a marketing which isn’t there.

But im probably well over thinking it. They may announce loads of amazing creativity apps. Maybe they’ll release a stylus.

  15. Ultra smash was painful to play, it better ignore that ever existed. My main issue was the players would fly across the  court, imoossible to hit winners. It’s was utterly disastrous. Eternal rallies just pressing a button. No flying players. If a player is passed then don’t get them to be able to hit it. The footage looks promising in this regard but you never know...

This was just a Direct Mini, we had a great year last year and we only have up to May and even then not everything.

    Patience

JBS said the same, thinking there’ll be another direct with more stuff soon. Can’t see it. Hope so though, it needs it. This looks mega bare bones to me. But this up to May (and TWEWY is this year so May miss it) is pretty poor. Going to need a hell of a 2nd half to sell 20m units!!

Bit surprised at the negativity. Seemed a lot of content for the next few months.  Bit gutted I traded in Mario as the balloon game looks like a riot. But it's all about Mario Tennis. I want N64 gameplay, GBA career mode and online with friends (Yes I'm looking at you EA) and life will be good.

Because it’s 90% old stuff ported over. Why is there for me who owns most of this stuff? I just thought there’d be more.

But yes on tennis. I’m cautious, but could be amazing. It isn’t going to be 64. But as long as it plays a great game of tennis then I’ll be delighted.

Do note that the Switch has outsold the Wii U and many Switch owners will not have played these games.

I completely get that. I don’t begrudge them alongside new games. But this attitude also sticks two fingers to the big Nintendo fans who even bought the disastrous wii u 🤣

  19. Also, after al the buzz about 3rd parties and such. Even that offered pretty much nothing. Not saying they won’t come in the second half of the year. But i thinks it’s a piss poor first half.

Nintendo have barely made anything for years. They’re now only developing for one platform. And the only new games they’re doing ste Kirby and tennis which will be staggeringly simple to develop relatively.
