Perhaps constructive rather than "this is bad, I won't be writing a good review" for it? Though, how you would go about that is beyond me right now. I will add to the woe of Christmas. This year, I hosted my family again, normally, Christmas for us is a really good affair, I don't tend to have any gripes with it and its perhaps the only time of year I can safely say we don't argue. Unfortunately, that changed this year and really be writing this in good news - but my sister is pregnant, the first baby in our immediate family. I'm to be an aunt! But it seems that pregnancy for whatever reason has turned my sister into someone I don't really want to speak too. To keep it short, she was supposed to stay here, instead of a nearby hotel, but after shouting at my Dad and then having a full on scream at me (I will admit I had an annoyance with her sharing info with my parents about something, but "normally" this would never have escalated), she left for a hotel on Christmas eve. Christmas day was even worse, getting to my house and leaving within 10 minutes - my Dad barely said a word to us all day and my poor mum had no idea where he was going. In the end we found he had been going to and from the hotel to keep my sister and her boyfriend happy. Even my mum was surprised by the "favouritism" my dad was showing, in comparison to the pain I had been through 2 years before and been brushed off. In the end, we made up, just about. But I'm tired and my partner doesn't want much to do with them - at least for a little while. Perhaps one of the worst Christmases I've had for some time. Family truly can be quite spiteful. ./bitter ./waffle

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

I got lost in YouTube. -
I have definitely found that small steps are still steps. For example, I couldn't do a 20kg bench (bar) press when I started doing weight lifting in January, now I can easily do 32.5kg, its all relative. You're doing great! Down 13.6kg now, really did myself a mischief on Friday getting back into deadlifts, so its back to it tomorrow. I'm still amazed I'm even at 13stone, one more to go!

BRING ON THE SNOW! (Get out of here you sun worshiping weirdos) </3

I absolutely cannot stand this heat. I've always loved the cold, so this sucks royally. Next year is god damn air con, I don't care how much the electric bill is.

You sound like me, I have the worst luck with my PC, so much so I haven't dared installed anything new to it.

@Shorty it was actually the first game I picked up as I'd been waiting to play it after watching a streamer. Thanks for the recommendation though!

Finally decided to grab one, I've been after one since last August. Because I have finally given up on the r.a.t. mouse series. RIP..

You guys are killing it - good job. @Raining_again 100kg? You fucking badass. I've hit a bit of a milestone recently: July '17: I was 15 stone 2 / 96kg. August: I ended up dropping about 9lbs from my surgery (Open surgery for a benign tumor) I gave birth to a nonexistent baby! In January of this year, at the end I finally decided to take my health a little more seriously, I've since dropped more weight, so I'm now in the 84kgs bracket, giving me a loss of 12kg. Phew. Its been rough trying to work around a chronic illness and surgery recovery, but I had to replace 90% of my clothes and I feel stronger than I have in years! Looking forward to reporting more loss in a few months

@Aneres11 side note, you have a lovely living room! These are technically birthday presents, but as I picked them out I feel I can say they are for here. We shadowed a keeper to feed the penguins

Nice! Good job on the bench pressing! I've been really struggling with that I must admit, I want weight loss, so my brain automatically is saying "eat less", but you shouldn't really be doing that when lifting as fatigue etc etc. ARGH.

Why the heck does he have it so high on his neck? Even for high bar that's just...oh god. Been constant at the gym, but upped my game recently. Onto 60kg deadlifts and introduced squatting and benching. Its fun, if a little tough.

A concerned for a woman walking home alone perhaps? But for her to raise it to you? I'm with Shorty on this one - denied! -
I'm on a new level of petty after so many years of living with people. So my thought process would be to report the person living there as a "favour" to the landlord.

+1 on everything Raining has said to be honest! I did a PB of 60kg deadlift on Friday, which considering how much pain I was in this time two weeks ago made me feel really satisfied. I'm genuinely hoping for a PB of 100kg by the end of the year, but at this rate it'll be sooner than that. I've now also added cardio back into my rountine, so it'll go cardio -> lifts -> cardio, every day, it's meaning I'm a little more worn out at the end of each session, but those extra 20 minutes or cardio really seems to be doing the trick.

I found braces pretty painful, but I was 11-12 and had yet to have veneers, root canals etc done. I think the food aspect you won't find that bad. I hated the fact I couldn't drink fizzy drinks, but I don't as an adult now anyway, hard foods, wasn't as difficult, mostly toffees that sort of thing. Unless they've become weaker since early 2000s they can withstand quite a lot, as long as you're looking after them. Otherwise perhaps just keep on top of pain relief, did your dentist give you anything for if the braces are a bit sharp for your gums?

Can you sub with some cardio in the mean time @Raining_again I imagine though that causing just as many issues? Currently logging between 10-16 sessions of gym a month, which seems...ok for my fitness level. Trying to remind myself that in August I almost fucking died, but deadlifting is addictive.

Happy Birthday @Eenuh May it rain doritos and mountaindew!

Its alright Raining, you'll get there! Just remember that I currently can only lift 10kilos max and I always get told: You've got to start/re-start somewhere. It sounds like you're on the right track though! How do you currently track kcal/macros? In November I joined the gym, so I've been going not very regularly for a couple of months now, got back on the bandwagon properly first week of January and I've been going twice a week. Lifting is fine for my stomach thus far, but I do find some of the classes a lot harder because they require a lot more to do with my core. I've also added protein to my diet, I've got an app to keep an eye on my food intake and whilst I'm not 100% worried about kcal, I am worried about the lack of kcal/protein and fat I'm getting in at the end of the day, I've noticed if I go to the gym I'm missing a good 800-1000 kcal when I'm at work, so I've added the protein shakes, upped the food intake and also sat drinking 2L a day. At the very least my skin is loving me right now. Hoping in a month or so I'll be lifting 20kilos rather than 10. Leg presses are easy, I'm sat at 40kilos, if only my arms were the same!

Because I split the last bottle all over my knee (and jeans), so here we are.. This is actually pretty good, I can even use spotify with it, not bad for £20.99.

That would put a very bitter taste in my mouth and I'd likely find myself leaving over something like that. It sounds like the higher ups don't quite have their heads screwed on.

Can we add an N-E meet in October for Tokyo too? I'm a bit terrified that me and my partner are going!

Well, not to put a damper too much on this thread but, here's mine: Live to 2018. Most of you know its been a rough year for me. I had major surgery, the loss of my grandad and I'm set to have a hysterectomy in 2018. Things are rough, but I made it! Join the gym I actually did this one too! I started a couple of months ago. Start a skincare routine. I made this one as well, which means I ended up with much better skin towards the end of last year For 2018? Well I've not made anything, I'm just kind of grateful to be alive at this point.
