  1. 84 Hours played, level 33. Think I have found about 90% of the locations, makes my map look like a mess. My character is a close range melee weaponmaster. Switching weapon styles really makes the gameplay different, and changes the tactics you have to use.
  2. HaHA awesome but I doubt that Borris will live a long life as his master gets stronger... So addicted to this game, have to tear myself away from it every night. Would recommend getting latest drivers for gfx cards as it seems to stop the ctds I had before. That and messing with how the game uses the ram. Just enjoyed my second go at being a werewolf and twas awesome, lept on a few ppl tearing their throats out, fed a bit, and knocked some people clean across the room. It's a very good power for those times when you come across those bandit chiefs that are totally clad in heavy armour with a battle axe and know how to use it. I actually think the transformation scared him as he just stood there blocking, waiting for me to finish.
  3. Once or twice yeah, but not since I increased the amount of RAM the game can use via a 4gb patcher for applications, and also messed around a bit with the ini file for skyrim. Necessities with Bethesda games really. EDIT: Also if you want money, do daedric shrine quests (at high level). Level 24, went in with 5k gold, came out with 9k and a shiny new uber blade. I present to you, The Dawnbreaker:
  4. FIXED Love this game. Have trouble with archers (as if)? Get shield skill "Deflect Arrows" for no dmg from arrows, or if confident, equip a 2 hander and sprint towards them doing a power attack for double dmg which often kills in 1 hit (with the relevant skill purchase of course). Having trouble with mages (big time yes)? Get shield skill "Elemetal Protection" so all elements do 50% less dmg when using shield. Now you can block magic attacks so they do pitiful dmg, and use shout skill "Whirlwind Sprint" to close distance, and shield bash those damn annoying witches and hagravens to they are so concussed they cant remember how to cast spells any longer, or just dead. Playing as a warrior in this game is so much better than oblivion.
  5. Haven't bought from GAME since I realised their staff were braindead telling me lies and I hate their policies (which I can't even remember).
  6. Please don;t make it the cat
  7. Candlelight spell is better but there are torches in the game.
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA. Game just CTD on me again so I needed that thanks
  9. Is anyone else getting missing texture issues? Basically its when textures of a give item or terrain are bright purple. When I see, game CTDs (crashes to desktop) shortly afterwards. Ah well, at least i know im playing a bethesda game. TBH it occurs after a long play session, oblivion would have failed hours ago.
  10. OK so a bit like fallout with mini bosses roaming the map. One thing though, if the dragons don't scale, then they will become incredibly easy. And one of the dragons killed was right next to that mega lich. If I make an archer, it wil be an assasin/stealth/archery hybrid as you really need to drop people quickly when using arrows and the shadows are the perfect way to increase dmg through sneak attacks while avoiding the potential back lash. Was my main way to success in oblivion too. And what you said about the companion is a bit immortal as I was hoping she was a bit immortal, that said, she died once with me but that was totally my fault as I cleaved her with a power attack in her back when we were fighting a losing battle soooo... i think its one of a few things: When companion crouches, AI stops attacking them and focuses on you They can only be killed by you I'm inclined to think its the former.
  11. Hmmmm. One thing I have found a bit wierd. Killed three dragons, all with moderate difficulty (read as popping healing potions like crazy), yet a giant smashes me into the ground with 1 hit and a, what I can only discribe as a mega lich or something, roasts me within 30 seconds of initiating battle, making the dragon whom I had killed just in the same area right next to him, look like his pet. I generally don't know if enemies are scaled to your level, or it's a mixture with some scaling, and some areas where you will just die very fast. Also, really need to play this game at more sociable hours :S
  12. Found out there are hotkeys, at least for favourites. Just have that menu open and press 1, 2, etc. next to relevant weapon. Love the interface compared to oblivions default and just how much smoother the transition is between menus and gameplay as you have to go into them alot, but it really was made for the consoles. Also setting some functions like Ready stance [R] to mouse buttons is practically a no-no as you wont be able to use said button to drop items from inventory and the game wont update the interface to tell you what button corresponds to what.
  13. My opinion, next to no one in there right mind would rush a game like this. There are too many "bread crumbs" lying about, that tease your curiosity forcing you to turn a 1 hour experiment into a 5 hour marathon, and that's when external factors remind you of there is a world beyond your screen. That said, I can see myself playing this game till the next elder scrolls pops up just like i did with oblivion. So even if half done, there will always be a return to the game.
  14. Fuck it's 5 am before I realised, "damn it's late". Didnt wanna stop but priorites
  15. Just waiting for this to decrypt. and install. 10 minutes so far ¬_¬
  16. Amazing, Steam forces me to cancel installation from DVD, but it WILL allow me to pre-load the game, which means downloading the encrypted files from their servers, and then waiting like an hour for it to decrypt. Well I guess I shall enjoy the map too ¬_¬ And I will be staying up just to play this game before i sleep.
  17. I just wanna play my copy of skyrim Got Really busy day tomorrow starting from 10:00am
  18. Craaaaaaaap EDIT: It's even worse than expected, wont even allow a pre install of the game. REALLLLLY stupid. But puts steam users ahead as they are allowed a pre-install, even if it takes aeons to decrypt those files.
  19. Some methods stated requiring a chipped machine and all were found amoungst posts of angry fanboys on youtube. I don't know how valid the claims were, but if I want to mod a game, ill be sticking to pc, hence why i bought pc version of skyrim. Can't wait to see what the modders can achieve. And amazon sent me a dispatch mail so if im lucky, i'll be oggling my copy of skyrim probably in the afternoon.
  20. Funny thing is alot of the things like levitation and open cities are possible with oblivion via mods, but obviously mostly only possible on PC. I say mostly cos there are claims it's possible on consoles but all sounded retarded/illegal/unfeasable.
  21. Damn new i should of gone with shopto instead of amazon. Ah well steam would have delayed play till friday anyways.
  22. Dark souls speed run. Game completed in under 90 mins Is this guy on his second playthru or something? Is he destroying stuff because he is using advanced weaponry or he just knows the achilles heal for every for he fights? EDIT: It's in multiple parts so you may have to go to youtube to watch the rest.
  23. Two best friends play Dark Souls, looks like they didnt learn from Demon Souls:
  24. I really do miss a proper team game like monster hunter tri. Prob my fave multiplayer of the last few years.

  25. On my pc I play big fps shooters really so will defo be getting battlefield 3 on it. More fun than console as those versions I find too easy. Also play a pc mmo called aion which had so much promise but is really a game designed for the Korean market. I also have golden oldies like borderlands and looking forward to phantasy star online for the pc
