Fresher than fresh

Its hard to narrow the source of all this spam as it escalated on its own, but as far as I can tell, If i were the owner of this forum and I heard my staff were checking places they shouldnt be (Dont continue telling me its alright, cause my mind is set, it isnt alright), I would of banned him myself.

He stated himself he was purely noseying through and said he doesnt have the morality for him to care. Seeing ashleys banned profile, it seems that when you ban your users, it keeps all their contact information up. This shouldnt be happening, future information should be logged elsewhere, you dont need to save PM's, all you need is details like their IP address. They should just be deleted.

So he was required to check something private? He also said it himself, noseying around. He was supposed to use it as a means to test to see if banned users can see that thread, but those sort of things should be off limits unless some one with power such as the police ask for it to happen. Accounts should simply be deleted once perm banned, thats all.

He banned himself, and he'l contact another member of staff to unban him. But I still think their should be a consequence for his actions of reading some ones PM's. No justifyable reason exists.

What on earths going on? Did ashley's more than likely temp ban need a 3 page long topic? He should of been forced to stand down, simple. Privacy is privacy, banned or not.

Well this site like many others should state somewere that forums is user submitted material and does not represent the website. As Twozzok said earlier: EDIT: Also, seeing as this forum is attached to a website with commercial interest, As in owned by a company that probably does have it's own policy, why are you admitting it publicly that you've gone through a banned users PM box :/

To be honest, those messages are labelled private. No one should have the power to nose in on them unless it is in cooperation with the Police for evidence. Ofcourse, he just said he nosied into it.

Hmm thats a good point, every time a member would get banned the entire forum would shift back in posts, which would be kinda troublesome seeing as some people here have posts in the thousands. I've also noticed on other forums when users get banned you can still view their profile if you find one of their posts prior to the ban, in which you can obtain information like their email which they may want disclosed after being banned. Oh well, still, I'm very much against the invasion of privacy any one here could encounter when they are banned.

I took that too literal then, my bad. But if The ganondorf or whatever is permanently banned, all the content on his account should of simply been deleted.

In my personal opinion, although I myself have no private messages, if I did I wouldnt like them being looked at. Sure you say you wouldnt look at a users PM's who arent banned, but even if they are banned the content of their accounts should simply be deleted if they are not coming back. Its still private after all. But most people should know if you want to keep something truely private, use other means like instant messengers and just use the PM system to share their emails.

Its fairly difficult to control the jet, way too slow for my liking, but atleast I crashed into the same area as my house.
