1 hour until the best match of the week. I'm hoping for a great game, and for Liverpool to knock Barcelona out. Would be great to see Chelsea get knocked out as well, as no one would have any idea as to who would win it then. My prediction for Liverpool v Barcelona is 2-2.

Good thread......and an interesting read. I'm at Uni at the moment studying digital animation, and hopefully once I've finished here and got a decent demo reel I'll move onto working as an environmental games artist. That's the dream anyway.

Sorry, hadn't been checking the forums while the games been on. And I can't believe Man U ended up winning that with a late goal. Good stuff. If Liverpool play like that though on Tuesday against Barca then they should easily win considering what their defense is like. Still, I'd be annoyed with today's result if I was a Liverpool fan. All I can say is 'unlucky'. Hopefully Pompey will give Chelsea a hard time later this afternoon.

Any upgrades for 4MBit users or not? Doesn't really bother me as I'm never at home, but just wondering if they're boosting other speeds.............which they should really.

The Departed - Won the important Oscars on Monday, so I checked it out today. And it definitely deserved them. Film of the past year for sure. 9/10

I rushed implementing the camera though and the keyframes, as deadline was looming. Maiky-NiSuTe - I've only ever attempted fur/hair once, and that was applying it to a model for the characters hair as practice. I'm loving your first image with the dust sprite, as the fur looks brilliant and well lit to show it off well. The second character looks a bit odd though, and I think it's the patches of white that are affecting it...........I don't know if that's strictly design or just something that can be improved though. And anyone still unsure about programs and all that, then there's links to trial versions on the first page of this thread.........or you can acquire it your own way (the way we're not supposed to speak of). I think I'm going to go back to The Great Court and sort out a lot of things I didn't have time to finish, but it's mainly the texturing that needs doing and some more modelling work in places.

I don't want berluddy smells coming out of my computer. I mean, what the hell is the point. Would be a gimmick for games if it was to ever happen anyway.

Hot Fuzz - Didn't meet my expedctations, and I didn't think it was up there with Shawn of the Dead. It was enjoyable though, and last 20mins were excellent. 6/10

Locke and Desmond are easily the most interesting characters at the mo. Far more enjoy their sequences over any of the Jack, Kate and Sawyer stuff.

I agree with That Guy. Soul Calibur is far superior to Tekken. But it's all opinion after all, and we all have different tastes. I currently only own a Wii, but will be picking a 360 up on Halo 3 launch day hopefully. Not interested in the PS3. I can't warrant spending that amount of money just for MGS, which will eventually come to the 360 anyway.

Totally agree. I'd expect Man U and Middlesbrough to win their ties. So Semi's are going to be brilliant hopefully, with big games all round. And well done to Watford on getting this far in the cup. Hopefully their recent form will keep them up in the premiership as well.

Certain games just killed the genre for me. Namely FF8 and ToS. A friend of mine is planning on picking up FFXII, so I may get a chance to play that and see what all the fuss is about. Out of the two though, Japanese RPG's are generally much better.

It's average at best. I gave it a chance by watching about 6-7 episodes, but it just didn't do it for me. And like someone mentioned above, I also feel gay watching it.......

I used to enjoy RPG's, but now I don't. Was disappointed there was no option to say they both suck.

Yeh, that's pretty much it...........but I would of said it was more of a case that EA wouldn't of been able to get a PS3 version of Fifa finished in time, and the same with Konami and PES/WE. Both games will be on both consoles at end of this year though.

Doesn't surprise me one bit about the UK being so low in that list.

So a 'rumour' yeah? Along with the god knows how many about this game since it was pretty much announced. It's £24.99 at Gameplay.com btw people. Surely it's more in everyone's interest to save £15 and just not have waggle paintbrush. 'More games the merrier etc etc'.

If you're clever, or more like have some common sense, then you'll do this over all that Windows Blinds/Style XP bullshit.
