Titanic Absolutely epic. But more so than that, I love watching the relationship between Jack and Rose slowly develop into something that takes them both over to the point where after only a few days together, she makes the decision to stay with him once the ship reaches America. The way her fiancé is obviously desperate for Rose to fall in love with him an can see her slowly slipping away is kind of heartbreaking too. I mean, he's a total dick, but he genuinely has feelings for her though he may go about showing that in totally the wrong manner. After the ships gone down and Jack and Rose are lying on the floating debris, I love how the film is boiled down to essentially just the relationship between them. No ship, no fiancé, no mass panic...just them. When all the sounds around them have died down, it's so incredibly eerie. Even though there's over a thousand people in the water...there's just silence. Anyway. I love. The script could be infinitely better, the score could be drastically improved in places (When she's intent on killing herself and the music still manages to sound almost joyful for instance) and the way it seems to portray that literally every person with money is a dick and everyone person without any is a fun loving Irishman...but I don't care. I think it's fantastic. When Rose finally lets Jack go before desperately attempting to scream at the passing boat, whilst the eerily calm music plays in the background, I never fail to sit there completely transfixed on the film.
  2. Cougar Town Started watching this on the slight chance it would be fun, and thankfully it is. Loving Courtney Cox's character to death, and it's genuinely funny throughout too. I love the constant bitchy comments they make between each other and yet it's so obvious how much they love each other. "She's hot...for a frigid beastly elderly woman" "You think I'm hot?" Enjoyable

Naww. Absolutely love this. I can't stop smiling to myself everytime I listen to it. I want summer to be here already damn it. I love the "But what am I gonna say, when you make me feel this way. I just...Mmm :)" bit. --

Absolutely in love with this, and her albums growing on me too. -- Saw an interview with Daisy Dares You on Digital Spy, supposedly she's one of the "ones to watch" in 2010. The chorus is horrifyingly catchy.

Cursed (Wes Craven) Absolutely love this film (The Unrated version). It's terrible, trashy, has some terrible effects and should genuinely just not be at all watchable. But somehow it just works. No wonder it ended up selling a bucket load of Dvd's (It's became a sort of cult classic among Wes Craven fans supposedly). There are some hilarious moments scattered throughout the odd genuinely scary moment. Such as in the big finale when the police have come to shoot the Werewolf but can't find it: "What's this Werewolf look like?". "Well officer....She's got a bony ass.....fat thighs....and bad skin" "YOOOUUUUU BITCCCCHHHHHHH!" Love. Oh, and the whole "Gay? Not gay?" side story with whatshisattractiveface from Heroes in is oddly lovely/amusing too. Fun.
  6. Annoying trends.

I see this ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY. I don't get it at all. Where is the sense in wrapping up warm only to throw on a pair of flip flops?

Am I the only one that has absolutely no urge to see it?
  8. Eastenders - The Two Parter (Syed's wedding) I gasped. I laughed. I got a little teary. AMAZING. Syed's mum's reaction to finding out he was sleeping with Christian was pretty disgusting. She knew he would do exactly what she said and would rather see Syed living in denial for the rest of his life rather than be with Christian. The goodbye forehead kiss was heartbreaking. Supposedly their storyline "isn't even half done" which is such a bitch. I thought this would be the conclusion, but it's going to be months before something happens or so it seems. Goodbye life. But, fucking Libby and the baby thing? I DON'T CARE.

I few from last night. Absolutely fantastic night!

I hate that I've grown to love The Saturdays - Ego. Though thankfully it's far, far better than the shiteous song that was Forever Is Over. One of the worst lead singles '09. Though I loathe the "Sit down witchor ego" bit. IT'S WITH YOUR DAMN IT.
  11. The Music Thread.

I've been giving the album a proper listen this evening. I love New York, Stone Cold Sober, Do You Want The Truth or Something Beautiful and Romance Is Dead.
  12. The Music Thread.

Wasn't a fan of it when it was released, but I've suddenly fallen head over heals for Left My Heart In Tokyo. I'm warming to their new single "I Wish" too. Shame I Wish totally flopped. Hopefully they'll get another single release. -- I'm loving New York by Paloma Faith too.
  13. Dexter Season 2 (First Half) This is fast becoming my favourite show by a long shot. I can't think of one bad word to utter when it comes to discussing it with someone. I'm constantly finding myself demanding others watch it, to the point where I'm even annoying myself. I love how the show manages to stay as fresh as it was in the first episode due to the constant little surprises and twisted developments that Dexter's character has to deal with. Every episode seems to reveal something new about Dexter as a character and it's almost mesmerizing watching him deal with his constant urge whilst trying to appear annoyingly normal to the people that surround him everyday. He obviously must because there's two more seasons ahead of me, but I'm completely stumped as to how he manages to worm his way out of the situations he's in currently during Season 2. Which I love. There's nothing worse than being able to predict exactly what's going to happen, whether it be in a film or a television show. It's like, every single set back he encounters, I almost feel the sudden tension he feels due to not having a clue how it's going to end. Plus, my god. He's terrifyingly attractive. Need...more....now.

Just gave Ke$ha's Animal album a full listen. It's expectedly terrible, but it an oddly appealing way. It's like the equivalent of going out with the intention of getting completely plastered. You know it's not going to end well, but it's fun whilst it lasts. (Tik Tok, Your Love Is My New Drug, Kiss N Tell, Backstabber and Blah Blah Blah (Feat. 3Oh!3) are delightfully trashy). -- Rachel Stevens Come & Get It came on shuffle a few days ago and I instantly fell back in love with it. I'm totally clueless as to why it bombed so dramatically, such an unexpectedly brilliant pop album. The fact her first (and horrifyingly average) first album sold infinitely better is such a shame.

In retrospect, I've always thought Fergie looked like a man...so I have no idea why I said "FERGIE". But still, I swear it looks amazing. If it's not then I'll concede, but until then I refuse to believe you. :p

See, I expect the same. I mean it's FERGIE. Then again...I can see why her being in it could make it go either way. Aww, I was so looking forward to it. You've ruined this. Bitch.

You obviously don't know me well enough. :p I still want to see, but you've lowered my expectations totally.

It's that bad? I don't believe you. Actually desperate to see it along with Sherlock.
  19. How was your day?

Stressing about things, but otherwise today has been lovely. Just relaxing watching Dexter and Glee. Going to the Wino tonight, which should be a laugh I suppose. I'm missing Sheff town though. Being away from people is making me use my phone far to much, which is going to end up costing a packet. Plus it's totally my fault. I keep texting certain people far more than I should be considering I'm just....not really bothered when I get a reply. That made sense in my head. Then again, it's far better than waiting constantly for a text that I'm well aware is never going to come. Right, back to Dexter.

Mashup featuring 25 of 2009's Biggest Tracks Absolutely love.

I'm so annoyed that I can't get that "Watcha Say" song out my head. I began insulting it, and then 20 minutes later I was singing the chorus. (I'm aware it's a sample, and I've heard the original before anyone asks). And that Starstruck (3Oh!3 Feat. Katy Perry) song. Horrendous/ly catchy. Oh, and Jamelia's "Beware Of The Dog". I'd never heard it, so consequently I'm utterly in love with it.
  22. I got bored, so re-watched most of Dexter Season One this afternoon. It's fast becoming my favourite show. I've never found something so shocking and yet hilarious. It's such a brilliant mix, and Dexter as a character is just indescribable. I think the fact they've made it so easy to see parts of yourself in him (Obviously minus the whole serial killer thing) is what makes him so interesting. Again, I hate using this word now. But, stunning. (Plus, Dexter? Take me now.)
  23. Funny videos, flash games, etc

Like the T-Mobile advert (albeit on a smaller scale), but the Glee version. I love the cute little "Gleeeee!" bit at the end.
  24. Pets

    "LOVE ME" So damn cute.
  25. How was your day?

Had an amazing night Spent the evening with Channy which was really lovely. Made some dinner for us and then we just sat there chatting for what seemed like hours. Then we headed out to meet some of the guys who were in the year below us at Sixth Form, and ended up having a much better time than I thought I would. Highlight would definitely have to be discovering it was snowing really heavily and consequently having a spontaneous dance in the street with "All I Want For Christmas Is You" playing on someones phone. Such an odd moment, but one of those ones you just can't help but love. Now I have to babysit a puppy for a friend of my mums who's giving it to the girl I used to babysit as a Christmas gift. I've always heard about the "a dog isn't just for Christmas" thing, but haven't ever actually seen one given as a present before. Thing is, my two other dogs are total bitches, so I can see today being anything but fun.
