Lol, I'd say that was reasonable, and the rest of Nintendork's post was actually pretty interesting. I think he raises a very very good point, when you're having troubles like that, all you want is to be accepted, and you'll take it wherever you can get it. On a slightly darker side, I think alot of gang violence goes towards satisfying the dormant primitive bloodthirst in us all, there can be a sick sense of gratification in beating someone to a bloody pulp. I just read the bbc article link, I think it's even worse that someone who was 19 had to gang up on a 15 year old AND take a hammer to him. Now, not that I approve of it, but if you're 19 you have a natural advantage over a 15 year old anyway, and should be able to handle them without trouble, I suppose it was a bit more than just bettering the other guy though.

I don't think it's possible for them to do that legally, or probably to get housemates to agree to it, it'd be a quite a big deprivation of human rights in my view. Whilst this sounds quite extreme, I couldn't find a more mild way to express my point, if you get me. I still think it was absolutely brilliant!

I know it's a joke, but in the other thread they were all jokes too. I know Jack already posted it, but he posted about it in a much better way(some people only skim the topic, myself included, as I had to read it through again to spot Jack's mention). Even so, as people have said, on that topic I think anyone who thinks stuff like this is limited to a people of a certain race deserve to be shot more than the people doing it themselves.

I just tried to play an .avi I downloaded, and when I do(well, if i do anything at all, basically when the file is accessed in any way i think) a thingy pops up about the streams or some malarky and how the file was not made for sequential viewing or something, and it would need to be reinterlaced if it was to be put onto slow media like CD/DVD(something to that effect). My first question, what is this AVI chunk viewer(for some reason the name AVI splitter is in mind, but i dunno why). So yeah, any information on that would be appreciated. The real problem however, is that the video then plays(without sound) and constantly flickering grey, which is annoying. I tried updating my XP codec pack, but to no effect. Is there anything which could clean up such a problem in a file, and what is causing it anyway? Is it due to this AVI splitter taking things over? Any light shed on the matter is appreciated!

Ok thanks, I actually deleted the file because I tried something and accidentally did it to the original which was irreversible anyway, even so, I'd still like more info in case it happens again(might redownload the file too). Would I be right in thinking the AVI chunk viewer thing has something to do with audio and video streams not being properly in synch? EDIT:I did try VLC, checked it out quickly after redownloading the file, seemed like the video was fine, didn't check sound yet. Thanks very much! Still looking for any info about the avi chunk viewer stuff if anyone knows.

I'm curious as to if anyone who has put their name down on the site for replacement wiimote straps has recieved them as of yet? I put my name down on the first day, and haven't even heard from Nintendo. If you have got them, how many did you ask for? Maybe they're dealing with them per number first or something, it's really bugging me though that I put down all that stuff for nothing, they sure are taking their time about it!

Wow, that is fucked up, seriously, this sort of shit really really annoys me even though it's never happened to me, but it really fucks me off when people play with other people's emotions like that. I can't help but think your girlfriend is a heartless bitch. When I saw the title and read a bit of the post, I thought 'wow, this is fucked up, I'd fucking lose it if this was me'. I was expecting that you hadn't, as this was before I got to that bit, and whilst it isn't a good thing, I don't blame you at all for reacting the way you say you did. To be honest though, I've never been in any sort of serious relationship, so as much as I empathise, I haven't been there myself. I'd like to say to get rid of her, don't bother trying to make it up, once was bad enough, and like you said being drunk as well, even though it's no excuse. A second time though? And completely sober? Doesn't sound to me like you can trust her at all. I know you said she feels remorse, but maybe it's guilt, or remorse over the fact that she got caught when she thought she could get away with it. This is the sort of situation where my pessimistic side comes into things, she thought she could get away with it and hasn't, so she's inevitably gonna feel well gutted, and given the way you reacted, she's probably a bit scared and shocked too. You sure it's genuine remorse, it's something to consider seriously if you think of trying to make a go of things, but theres no reason why you should try to do anything, she fucked up and not you. Who's to say you won't go back to her and then it'll happen again? One thing I don't think you should have done is force her to tell this guy them things after, you should have left her to her own devices, to make her own choice sort of thing, in my opinion. All that aside, it's one really fucked up situation to be in, and one you don't deserve to be in. At least it's only been going on for a few weeks and you know now, rather than a few months down the line or anything. I'd say you're best off without her, it's been a couple of years yeah, but you're still young and it isn't like a marriage breakdown of 20 years or anything crazy like that. You get back together, there's always the chance it'll happen again, or that you'll continously be in doubt. Really, no one can make the decision other than you, is it worth the risk, could you be happy with her again after this?

Wow, qutting is quite popular this series! I'll miss leo, I hated him to an extent, but he reminded me soo much of my mate, who I posted about in the irrits thread. Well no, alot of it when I have work to do really, when I'm not, I do all sorts. Sit on the internet, play games, play wii, not DS much(havent touched it for a month, except one time for multiplayer when my mate was round, gonna breathe life into it tomorrow/sat though). I read books, and I read comics too. I work too, and don't find myself with much spare time, although, I think I have got rather alot and I'm just too lazy to actually do something, so for alot of my time, I literally do nothing.

I still think though that there's alot of variance between people though, some people react worse than others, just like some people feel tipsy after one pint, others only after 3 or 4. Some people go on killing sprees after playing a violent game or seeing a violent film, but not most people. The question is, how many people are susceptible to bad experiences while on drugs, potentially endangering themselves and others around them? The thing that's most annoying about it is that it's quite a hard thing to test, due to ethics and everything, and all scientific studies have their flaws too. Funnily enough, watching bbc1 at the moment, I think it's traffic cops that is on, and they're talking about people driving and stuff whilst under drugs(not including alcohol in this one). Not all traffic stuff, cop was called out for some kids apparently smoking cannabis. He couldn't find any but could see they was under the influence, so he couldn't do much but he told them not to do it. He did also refer to it being a gateway drug(in a little studio bit after), and commented that it'd probably get reclassified to a class B in the future. I do not agree with it being upgraded again. EDIT:Apparently you can't cross your eyes when stoned, I dunno if that's intentionally, or just when trying to focus on stuff too close to your face.

Well, I just realised that's probably a london specific thing actually, as it's done with oyster cards. Now, everyone under 18 in full time education gets free london travel with their oyster card, buses and all(I'm pretty sure it includes trains and stuff too).
