  1. I loved it. I was going to preface comments about it's 'not perfect but'...but that seems like I'm apologising for my enthusiasm for it. There were so many bloody great moments, just little accents in the acting and the writing that made the film so personable.

I thought it was so pitch-perfect when Wonder Woman refers to Ares as 'Brother'. It's just a small touch but to me it says so much about how Wonder Woman decides to relate to everyone.

  2. I quite like Orisa and have used her quite a bit so far. Probably my most played character.

I spent the evening playing as Soldier: 76 and had a fantastic time. I love the way the character moves and plays. I'm going to alternate between S:76, Orisa and Mercy for now. Quite like Bastion and Reinhardt, too.

She's fun to use with the right support. I can't say I'm too good as her. On Mayhem she is a blast, too.

It's been a while since a game has frustrated me so much like this one does. The players I was getting hooked up with yesterday were absolute morons who just wouldn't play the objective or balance the team out correctly.

I played a game yesterday where a person decided to be the healer. They picked Mercy and just went around trying to gun down the opposition. We weren't getting healed and they constantly kept dying.

There was another match where a person chose a healer, done sod all in terms of healing and then switched mid match. I then picked Mercy seeing as we needed someone to help the team out. I picked her and then a few mins later that same person picked another healer.

@Daft sorry for bailing straight away yesterday. You picked an awful time to join as I was just leaving to watch the football. I think my nephew and Rowan were as well. Just as well TBH as we were having a horrible string of matches.

How does the matchmaking work in this game? Myself, my nephew, gmac, Emerald and Rowan are all pretty low ranks yet we keep getting paired up with people who are level 100+.

Me and Superbass found ourselves in a whole string of games with utter idiots. It usually happens at the start of the competitive season, QP is left with people who just want to bugger around or take a break from Comp.

No worries about leaving. If I'm on feel free to send me an invite. I think we had a lot of enjoyable matches yesterday.

I'm really enjoying Reaper. His changes are going to be interesting. I think they're good changes that aren't massive buffs so much as QoL changes.

I wouldn't worry too much about how many levels someone is (although I understand there's a clear advantage when you might not have a wealth of experience across a whole swathe of characters compared to someone a few hundred levels above you), I've played 800+ level players and they sucked and I've played ~100 level players and they were wrecking balls.

Also, apologise to Rowan, Emerald and gmac for going off on one about Hanzo's Scatter Arrow but I'm bitter and it's a piece of shit skill and I refuse to not get annoyed at people not even bothering to shoot me and instead aiming for the floor right in front of me.

  3. Orisa is the only really forgettable character for me. Otherwise I really like how everyone is connected to one another.

In terms of dynamic voice lines there hasn't been a game like this since Halo.

  4. I've been playing Mercy a little more recently (I'm an Ana main. 'Witness Me'. Etc,.) and it is both the most rewarding roll and the most thankless soul-crushing role in the game.

I had one match when my team were putting down some good damage which I could sit behind and there was a Genji that just kept coming for me – this fucker was blood-thirsty – but every time he closed ground on me I could pull myself across the area to a fellow team mate who was perfectly positioned (to the point where I had a good chuckle at his futile attempts...and then he Dragon Blades me...).

Then I had another match where the Genji, Tracer and Pharah (who one-man Ulted me) just kept going for me first. I was effectively removed from the game. I could even get back to my team from spawn because a Tracer was behind our lines. "Plz, someone halp." And understandably everyone is distracted by their own fight. (And I really think this game needs more healers because the only solution against a good Tracer is to switch to Lucio, because Mercy, Ana and Zen have no mobility and are essentially sitting ducks.)

I always feel bad when a Mercy on my team dies. I've had my best luck protecting them as a D.Va. Defence Matrix is invaluable for protecting her. I think weirdly I'm more protective over a Mercy I'm not on voice chat with...probably because I can't apologise for failing to save them because I know how frustrating it can be on occasion.

I'm also a big fan of changing support to suit the level. Eichenwalde first leg, Mercy/Ana. Second leg Ana/Mercy/Zen. Third Mercy/Ana (And that inclusion of Ana in all of those is because I absolutely bloody love Ana). Those are what I tend towards but obviously team comp comes into play massively. The potential for a big Mercy rez on the last leg is huge – the chance to instantly respawn most of your team at full health is a big game-winner.

  5. So...one week until this is out.

And there are some early reactions in from reviews. The embargo has also been brought forward a couple days from the Wednesday to the Monday. So...things are looking positive. Not long now.

  6. I think she's awfully written. Especially if you read the comics, she's just an incredibly vindictive, power-thirsty bitch. There's very little of the Wonder Woman that I know and love in there.

There are times in the Injustice comics (early on) when Superman would doubt that what he was doing was right, but she is always there to give him that little bit of encouragement to keep going.

Aquaman tries to reach out to Clark and Wonder Woman lies about it.

She breaks Huntress' neck in the comic with her noose lasso.

She shows no remorse for the execution of Lisa Snart either. Nor does she bat an eyelid at stabbing Harley.

In the first Injustice game the Wonder Woman from the 'normal' earth is disgusted by what Injustice Wonder Woman has done.

She's basically written like she is in John's Justice League run.

    9d2b5ebd62d30a04ee16af9442733cf4.jpg

    Which is awful.

Not to mention this exchange with Darkseid? Is she after the Anti-life equation?

Go to 16:09. Dumb shortcut isn't going to the correct place.

This Wonder Woman is off-the-scale nuts, written solely to make push Superman into the tyrant that there's basically no other way he'd become. Which is fine. It's an elseworld, but really not muh Wondy.

  7. I finished the story last night. Loved it. It felt like a DC version of Civil War. Man, Wonder Woman is a nasty piece of work in this. Superman ain't much better, either.

Wonder Woman is so unlike her comic counterpart. She is a complete nutcase. Lady Macbeth through and through.

  8. Joss Whedon To Wrap Up ‘Justice League’ Movie After Snyder Family Tragedy

Zack Snyder and his producer-wife Deborah Snyder have stepped aside from Warner Bros’ Justice League tentpole to deal with a family tragedy, and The Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon has stepped in to wrap up some reshoots and postproduction, a source close to the movie has confirmed to Deadline.

Whedon and Snyder had been collaborating for the past month after the death by suicide of the Snyders’ daughter Autumn. Whedon was already in the studio family, having just inked to direct a Batgirl movie also in Warners’ DC Universe, and the transition is said to be a smooth one as the Snyders felt the toll and wanted to focus on family.

There is no plan at this point to change the November 17 release date. Principal photography wrapped in October.

“In my mind, I thought it was a cathartic thing to go back to work, to just bury myself and see if that was the way through it,” said an emotional Snyder in an interview Monday in his office on the Warner Bros. lot, with Deborah sitting by his side. “The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time.”

Sad news and a strange turn of events.

  9. I think this is good casting and I think if an Uncharted movie is to be made, the angle of it being a younger Drake is a good one that doesn't really step on the toes of the game.

...But, we'll see what the reality is.

  10. I found it entertaining, but it was blockbuster crap (although streets ahead of the gash that was Prometheus). David spoke like he just read the GCSE English syllabus.

I still don't understand why David dropped the goo on the Engineers.

  11. I...really enjoy playing as Darkseid.

Darkseid, Black Canary and Flash are my current go-to characters.

Completed the main story. It's fun. I found Brainiac cheap, though.

I'm disappointed by the lack of levels. I swear the first game had more, or at leas they felt more varied.

  12. Any more details on world size? I still don't think it'll really be big enough to feel like the epic adventure it's aiming for.

Having said that, all the improvements look superb.

Also, have we lost all subclasses?

  13. Anyone know how much it would cost me to build/buy a PC that would let me play Overwatch on my TV?

Silky smooth performance and all that.

Excluding the cost of a mouse and keyboard, I'll consider those separately.

  14. How many days do you want to go?

I'm really enjoying PHUL at the moment. I go Mon/Tues, rest Wednesday, then back at it Thurs/Fri.

And I'm super stacked so you an trust me.

  15. Complaint that too many games were shown. Can't tell if that's actually a backhanded compliment.

Sony didn't just show trailer after trailer; they knew the audience was there in the auditorium, alongside a large online audience, because every trailer was dropped without build up to the point that almost all of them left the reveal of the title until the end. People weren't told what they were watching until they'd seen it and it meant every time a trailer started to play conversation exploded. They absolutely – and clinically – preyed on the hype. It'd be silly to say they didn't use their audience.
