    Have to say that this is a great discussion guys, good job keeping it friendly.

    Me and Laguna have legendary debates. We love it :smile: We disagree on many things but discuss them in a constructive way.

    I never said I was against one console, I didn't meant to come across that way. I was posing the question, as I wanted to know whether that is what you would want. I think I would infact prefer for there to be just one console, but because there isn't and there are three, I like to think that there's games on each ones that make them unique, as otherwise I see no point in them all existing.

    So basically Laguna, you'd rather there was just one console that every game was on rather than three competitors? Because your argument is basically saying that you're happy to see every game multiplatform, which rules out any need for there to be more than one console.

    The thing is, i'm not going to say that you're wrong. The problem is that you're talking about the consumer, and why multiplatform games are benficial to the consumer, which is agreeable. However i'm talking about game consoles in general and what I personally like to see.

    Why?

     

    What difference does it make to you if the PS3 has Eternal Sonata on it? You're still going to get to play the game - and playing games is what it's all about right?

    Exclusives make consoles unique, that's why I like them. You can identify a console by what games it has exclusive, which is important.

    Indeed. Wasn't this touted as something akin to the next Blue Dragon for Micrsoft in Japan e.g. something that sells systems. I bet Microsoft will be irked, but exclusives are annoying ideas anyway - the less of them we have is better news for gamers, I'm glad it's gone to PS3.

    I suppose i'm the only one who loves exclusives then. To be honest, I dislike the whole concept of multiplatform games so much that i'd prefer it if every game on each console was exclusive.

    I kept getting that at the same point in my copy of Halo 2, turns out it was the disc. How are you liking Panzer then Stocka?

    I've grown to love it as i've played through it, it's gone from strength to strength, and then THIS happens! :red: I'm really pissed off.

    ARGH

    So there I was playing Panzer Dragoon Orta having a hell of a good time and then I got an error message saying the game cannot continue! This happens at the start of episode 4. Anyone else know of this? :hmm: I went back to my save and got up to it again and the same thing happened so I cannot progress. Looks like the backwards compatibility is not complete.

    Shenmue II - Rooftop sequence / Lan-Di

     

    Such a great cinematic experience and when you see Lan Di on the helicopter you just think...

    So Close!! But I'll get you some day!!

    Yeah, that's my favourite game moment EVER.

     

    The end of Shenmue was amazing. It was better than the end of Shenmue II because Shenmue went out at the peak of the game, Shenmue II kinda peaked then you went to a new place and it was calmer and not that exciting.

    Come on man, the end of Shenmue II is beautiful.
